  • If stopping by Fiji (Suva) moorage is at Royal Suva Yacht club. Adequate and reasonable. Suggest visiting Plantation Island there. Dropping the hook there and visiting the Malolo Yacht Club will get you a lifelong membership into that club plus "SNOOKUMS.....CAPT. COBY..2009" engraved on one the the wooden rafters in the clubhouse. Pretty neat AND the island is beautiful. You'll meet nice people in Fiji. Good luck Coby in whatever you do. You da man !!

  • Re: Auckland moorage: Very nice marina within walking distance of downtown Auckland called "East Haven" but very spendy. Might consider Gulf Harbor 3-4 miles east. Nice marina and much cheaper - bus service into Auckland. Any needed repairs to Snookums....Salthouse Marine. Have adequate charts. One more item on my last post that may be of interest.

  • FYI Coby. If you continue to NZ, a few things that may interest you. There used to be a radio station at the North tip of NZ's north island- operated by some guy and his wife. They came "on line" at 7:00am and 7:00pm daily. Yachts at sea would call in (SSB/AM) and report weather conditions in their local. I could not send but listened daily to find out what was around me. Whoever called in gave their lat and lon. Station name was Keri Keri - don't remember the frequency but advise asking around.

  • Well done Coby! you're now an official member of the "Yachtee" club!

  • OK... now i'm kvelling... ALOHA Coby! And welcome to Paradise!
