A gentleman that I knew years ago, was 4F in WWll. He was sent to the Packard plant to ensure that they were closing down the domestic side and changing over to munitions for the war effort. The foreign side was still operating and he told me how amazing it was the exotic woods and leathers they were using. He told me that the ones made after the war were not the same and plagued with problems. Give me a 30's Packard any day!!!
I'd take just about any Packard made in the 30's. They were beautifully styled and you knew you were looking at something special. IMO they lost their way after WWII and never got it back.
