@SuperJustinChannel you can do that pretty damn easy, you just need to time your jump or slide at the right time and then you basically skip the encounter with protoman and continue on forward, thus stopping the music

@mitzvahagogo that's wrong. The timing doesn't matters, it matters the use of the second-player-controller. Search it on google for more information about it, can't remember exactly what button you had to press for high-jumps. ( Those are glitches / cheats inserted by capcom themselves, so no additional stuff. )

@mitzvahagogo actually, cheats on the NES are Game Genie Codes, but that's just my opinion. but not that. Is it actually proved that theses "codes" were inserted on purpose? would be interesting to know.

@Skelpolu yeah they were, you simply used the second controller to press certain button combos such as : dpad up to make you jump higher, but the glitch at gemini mans stage is possible to achieve with rush coil and a simple slide, easy! but the codes really arent on game genie... so yeah
