  • love this video, I'd love for my dogs to herd

  • What do you mean "never take a rottie for a border collies task"??? Rotties were bred for this! They were originally cattle dogs, and cattle dogs are dealing with much harder animals than sheep. Cattle constantly test and are big and need a nip now and then to show who is boss. Look at the Blue Heelers, they bite the cow's hocks. A border collie stares at sheep and if needed DO use their charge and nip. It is a part of keeping the livestocks respect. Rotties were herders, draft dogs, THEN guards

  • Any one know where this place is I would love to bring my cane corso here

  • is this the old series of dog whispererer ?

  • he knows waht he is doing.

  • Rottweiler sind NICHT zum Hüten geeignet!!! KEIN Hütehund darf ein Schaf packen und hinwerfen...

Warum nehmen Menschen dafür nicht einfach einen Hütehund wie einen Border Collie...seufz...

NEVER take a rottweiler for a border collie`s task!!! A shepard`s dog must never touch let alone bite a sheep!!!

  • @LaMathilda This rottweiler was not trained to be a shepard`s dog, he done well for an untrained rottie

  • @LaMathilda Rotties are cattle dogs genius, and cattle are stronger willed than sheep. They need to be nipped. Look at blue heelers and other cattle dogs. Border collies stare hard and nip if necessary (not in competition of course). also this was this dogs first time near a sheep. It is natural for a dog with high prey drive (actually almost any dog) to want to grab the running sheep. They let him know clearly that he did wrong, and he understood. All herding dogs make mistakes their first time
