People say a scooter isn't a motorcycle because it has an automatic transmission. 40 years ago, guys used to say that about bikes that had an electric starter. Nothing makes more sense in having a automatic tranny than a motorbike. I want to ride, not constantly change gears. Nothing is more agile and manuverable than a scooter in traffic. Also, cops will let a scooter park in places they won't let a motorcycle park. It's true, they do. lol
I upgraded to maxi scooters from sportbikes and cruisers about 10 yrs ago. So much smoother, lots of storage. Burgman 650 is the best scooter in the world now, and although I love Honda best, the Silverwing doesn't come close to the Burgman 650.
If it wasn't for the stigma associated with scooters i would so get a 600 cc one of these or a silverwing. Unfortunately, i'm not cool enough to be the only guy at work who rides a scooter.

smaller ones upto 250. i have the 400 but kind of feels heavy at times. getting used to it now, it does weigh close to 500 lbs.
