  • my captain of miramax. indigo and torqouise green.

  • 1:52 Am I the only one thinking "lightsabers?"

  • Moses(through out most of this video): Is this going to be over soon? I have lots more interesting things to do, like watch grass grow.

  • "In Exodus we have an account of the manner in which Jehovah delivered the Jews from Egyptian bondage. We now know that the Jews were never enslaved by the Egyptians; that the entire story is a fiction. We know this because there is not found in Hebrew a word of Egyptian origin and there is not found in the language of the Egyptians a word of Hebrew origin. So we know that the Hebrews and Egyptians could not have lived together." - Robert Ingersoll

    "Exodus" story was totally fabricated

  • Sounds authentic this way

  • מאז שהייתי קטן פחדתי מהסרט הזה פחד מוות ובעיקר מהשיר הזה,אפילו עד עכשיו ואני בן 14 וחצי אני רציני!

  • This hebrew is actually a reconstructed language. The language that would be spoken by the Israelites is dead now.

  • your half correct. like every language the biblical hebrew changed with time over these past 2000 years... but modern hebrew actually descends directly from biblical hebrew, surviving in places like babylon during most of the empires

  • dude, the audio is awful!!!!!

  • Sounds like the plague of locusts came early

  • @Gemma100489 And the pronouciation of the words is terrible!

  • שיר מעולה, רק חבל שהסאונד לא משהו.

  • I love prince of egypt in Hebrew

^_^ I love Ofra's song in the beginning.I think its even more pritty in the Hebrew version.

  • They would speak egyptian, because that is what moses's first language is, but this is a movie made in hebrew. ;)

  • egyptians speak arabic

  • Yes, they do, but they didn't always. Egyptians spoke their own language for a very long time before adopting arabic.

  • oh thats right! I forgot lol @_@

  • after the arabian occupation of Egypt, arabs in egypt speak arabic not egyptian.

  • Well, there is a christian church in Egypt that uses a bastardized version of ancient Egyptian in their sermons. Coptic or something.

  • But if they say arabic, the people can't all understand what they said.

  • nono, I say: if they say eyptian(I wrote wrong words!)

  • actually, the movie was originally made in english, then translated.

  • Okay this is one of the things I wanna figure out, in real life would they be singing that in their language or in hebrew?

  • Probably their own language.

  • I don't think the movie has been translated to ancient Egyptian.... they don't have that much of an audience. (That's very telling, they're gone, we're still here!).

However it would be interesting if an Egyptologyst does translate it, just for the heck of it.

  • The hebrew version of this song is the best!

  • Sound's a bit scratchy, but this is a great number! Yay! I can translate it!

  • sweet. i ca read what you wrote, but i can't translate. im jewish!!!

  • Ohad Shahar (as the fat Hartum) and Yehoyachin Fridlander (as the thin Hartum) in "you're playing with the big boys" in hebrew, from "prince of Egypt".

  • Hartum = Wizard, magician, priest
