When Stan talks at 3:28 he mentions that the only people who came to see his band were "Art monsters." I've heard this term before by a native L.A. new waver who used to go see these bands around town when they were new. What is an "art monster" was that like a really geeky and obscure hipster of the late '70s/early '80s?

Stan's reaction at the end when the interviewer says "to a point"...lol, he looks like he's reading really deeply into it.
Wikipedia has a different explanation for where their name came from...
