Hi, nice video you've made, would you be so kind to send me the diagram of the circuit you made? my mail is miguel.angel.mojica@hotmail.com i'll appreciate it a lot if you do. Thanks ahead.
man can u pls help me, do you have a block diagram where you have to use binary inputs and that will be directly converted to a 7segment display output, 2 7segment display that will output of 00-99
Yeah I know. STK600's are really hard to work with and you need to buy extra cards to support different IC packages. I just have a AVRISP MKII. I've built a bunch of dev boards with leds and what not. Good stuff. I would get a stk500 but I don't have a serial port and Not to much of a point to use a mkII with a 500 if I already have the peripherals.
If you need more free pins in a project, you can use a decade counter (e. g. 74HC4017) for positional selection. You would only need one pin (the clock for the counter) for up to 10 digits. (of course you will still need the pins for the single segments; could use a shift register for that, cuts pin use by 6)

What software do you use for your PCB designs?

I use Cadsoft Eagle, it runs under Linux.

Is that an STK500 or STK600?

An STK500. As a matter of fact I would not recommend the STK600 specially to any beginner.

What method did you use for the pcb?

Neat for you. I like blue, too.
As for the rest: try talking less gibberish ;)

Ah, habe grade gesehen was du sonst noch so zusammen baust.

By the way... as of now I made a clock out of it :D

Nice work, always handy with a 7-segment display with SPI.
