  • Great video! I'd forgotten that you could hear a steam train coming, long before you caught sight of it. The anticipation, the excitement, then the smoke and the glorious whoop of the whistle... it took me back to the early 1960s when I watched the steam trains from the cutting near Loudwater tunnel, a few miles up this line. Sheer nostalgia!
