Also, there's a problem when you try to fit them into the erastes-eromenos relationship, cause Patroclus was older. In the Iliad this is said clearly (Iliad, book 11, 786-787). Erastes was older and thus a kind of "teacher" to arms etc of eromenos. I thing the Iliad doesn't intent to show them one way or another as having sexual relations.
