yes sometimes it is hard not to get negative as there is some abuse going on which offends my love and respect for Buddhism, but yes it is important to refuge in the goodness in people not in their badness

yes thats a good point.. but it is stil true what i say.although many temples make amulets to raise funds.. some also put half the money in their pockets as in the case of the largest lp tuad staue in the world at Hua Hin where 20 million baht of the donations went missing

amulets these days are nothing to do with buddhism.. its about making money. The reason the first amulets were made was to remind one of the Buddha and what he showed us. They were free (as any real temple will give them out for free) But people like to buy them and then resell them for a big profit .. as well as many temples who have forgotten why they are there in the first place ( to leave all desires and enlighten themselves).. kammathana forest tradition temples do not ever make amulets
