an astro-phys phd would know that there is very slight sonic difference in silver cable, and no real discernable difference.

The difference between copper and silver is night and day respectively. You can hear it with transistor circuits but with valve, which are far more linear, the difference is astounding.

That said, I was joking as playing through an ancient pair of 16bit Pods that cannot even handle a stratocaster's top end without glitching is a waste of silver.

The reason for silver cables? I worked for Audio Note, its all we had! :o)
