It is much thicker here, when he had been around 23, than years later on *Seinfeld*. He later sounded more highly educated and refined than he does here, which is perhaps the image he wanted to convey as his career aged.

This probably was an early cable show, maybe even public access. I draw that conclusion because I lived in NY at the time, lacked cash to go out much so I watched lots of over-the-air TV and never heard of a show called ''Celebrity Cabaret.'' The title sounds like a public access show. Btw, I guess I'm among the few Americans who never thought Jerry was funny, either as a stand-up or on his own show. In fact, he was the only cast member of Seinfeld who I never thought was funny.
