Just drove down there with a friend. I had never even heard of the asylum's existence until late last year and I've lived in Downey since 1984! What's with the old abandoned house that sits on the property, who did that belong to? I've also heard the place is FILLED with asbestos! And why are boxes of files and test tubes STILL lying around that place all these years later?

I cruised around the asylum last week @3am (dead time) It was creepy and there was definatley an eary feeling all around the property. It's hard to find a parking place to look around and not get caught. Worth checking out if anyone hasn't been there.
