@uzickimajmunac Why? He's a talented musician just one year away from making one of the most legendary albums of all time, nothing embarrassing about that
Not Wessex Studios--that's CBS Sarl West Studios, London, formerly Island Studios. The Clash did not record at Wessex until the Cost Of Living EP sessions in 1979, more than one year after the Give Em Enough Rope tracking sessions.
Why ignore Ray Gange? He did a great job in the film and became a good friend to the Clash. Everything should be respected as a part of a video or film. If he's in it, he's not worth seeing? Good one. And is it me or does it sound like Mick has been huffing on some helium?
@XoxBelllaJXox We Brits, especially in those days had better things to do with our youth than walk around with a gobfull of wire braces - just 'cos your mummies want you to look nice like Donny Osmond.
@XoxBelllaJXox thats a shallow comment, Mick Jones had a profound impact on culture and music, and thats why video of him has been posted. Do you have "nicer" teeth than him, and does it make you feel better, by saying that? Like your claim to fame is "I have straighter teeth than Mick Jones of the Clash?"
didnt they all go to same concert by the ramones thank fuck for the ramones the true punk fathers dont get me wrong i love the clash i wore there records out ! they took something and added there own twist never will we have groups like these again and thats such a shame think i might cry boo hoo
.wannabe punk music? ok....wait. Let me dwell into my psychic side. I see you sitting in your rotatable office chair searching for only music by the exploited, sex pistols, and black flag, thinking you are representing true punks and....even though they are...true punks...they arent the only ones. Before you call the clash wannabe punks...you sit back and dwell on the FACT, that they are not wannabes....but originators and legends....dont COME here just to talk shit. FUCKTARD.
..definetly wouldnt put the sex pistols (complete tools of malcolm mclaren) in that list, im thinking more along the lines of the stooges, velvet underground, mc5, id throw the kinks early records in there before these guys, lol and im not too sure about your rotatable office chair theory
look here dude. how the fuck...can you say these guys are fake punks or make fake punk music? the sex pistols' john lydon was a bit of an ass at times. but im still gonna stand strong and say that the clash are legends and some of the originators of what is known as punk today. all the ones you said are, too. i agree. and dude you gotta realize that i came at you like that because you brought that shit to a clash video
Let's have a lesson in London-speak here - if I tell you you're talking bollocks, yeah you're spouting nonsense, but if I say that the Clash's music was 'the bollocks', it means 'the dog's bollocks', meaning excellent. Awright?
Mick...I´ll wait all my life to see you. Mick, you are my life, I live just for you. I´ll never forget Michael Geoffrey Jones! I´m from Brazil, one day, I´ll travel to London, meet Mick. You are a macho guy! hahahaha! Love you forever!
No way to qualntify this band caused at the time when I was 17. It was seriously palpable, and I was nowhere near them in Seattle. But I did see them twice, once in Vancouver, and another time opening for the Who. Clash the sequel where are you? We need someone this talented, honest, and political AGAIN.
Very cool! Your taste in music pretty much rocks! Joe strummer is an icon and inspiration for so many reasons. Upon his sudden death the world lost a pretty amazing musician and man. Best regards, Eddie
It's a documentary-movie called "Rude Boy". This clip and the other videos of the Clash in concert I have uploaded are real. You can learn more on wikipedia.
It's footage from the movie 'Rude Boy', and it is also footage of the recording of background vocals for 'All the Young Punks (New Boots and Contracts)' from Give 'em Enough Rope.
What, ignore Ray? I fell in love with him, watching this movie. Ole' tool. The little scene in the beginning with his girlfriend made me crack up. :] He has a myspace. It makes me laugh too.
This may sound weird but watching this video makes me appreciate the fact that I speak english.

I could listen to Mick and Joe all day, seriously. Their music is so genuine, you can hear the passion so clearly in their voices.
And regardless of the slightly dodgy teeth, they were both damn hot too.
Rest in Peace, Joe. Stay free, Mick.
