@4denis408 Where is the actual footage?!?! Why post a video without actually seeing Miss Judy and the beginning with her singing behind the gate, and the gate opens towards the end of the song. Nice Art Work, but No video? Kind of defeats the purpose! :(
I was on this show in 1079, Freeland kindergarten class was bussed to the studio, which was really just a hangar at the airport, we got up on the stage with 5 minutes left in the show, we waved at the camera and then got back on the bus. We didn't really have any time to chat with Miss Judy.
wow the memories came flooding back, I loved this show when I was a kid, I use to sing this song every day, I haven't heard for almost 25 years it is great to hear it again brought me back to my youth
I used to watch this show every morning as a kid in Forestburgh, NY through a UHF antenna on channel 16. I still cannot get this song out of my head. Not that I want to; it just amazes me some of the things that affect us like this show did as a child and lasts a lifetime. All good.
It should be noted that this song was written by Herb Pine, Hugh E. Perette and Scotty McGregor. It was recorded on January 2, 1951 by Rosemary Clooney and chorus, with the orchestra conducted by Percy Faith on the Columbia children's records label. Besides being used as a theme song for this regional children's television show, this recording was often featured on the CBS television program "Captain Kangaroo" in the 1950s through the 1970s.
