There is a retroreflective coating on the front of the paddle, and an image of what's behind the paddle is being projected forward. The retroreflective coating reflects the image of what's behind it to give the illusion of being transparent.

This is not fake. There are several practical applications of this technology but "seeing through" things is not one of them. More likely is giving pilots ability to see runway below their feet, or allowing surgeons to see through their hands/equipment etc.

I'd say it's greenscreen, not projector. Projector would show up on the books behind when the mirror gets moved. Also, why would an xray make the pikachu disappear but not the book?

Actually this is a projected image of the background reflecting off the coat. There is a camera/projector unit that films the background and projects it simultaneously back. So any reflective surface will then appear transparent due to the background image on it.

People really should do research before calling stuff fake. Its real but as real as you may think. Its call X'tal Vision. It works off of some kind of projector system from what I've read. my guess that its a special projector that only a show up on a special material.

Okay guys... not an x-ray, but also not exactly fake. I've seen this technology before. There is a camera setup linked to a projector that projects the image of the wall onto the mirror or whatever you wish to call it.

Pretty simple stuff.
