It seems great, and definitely I'm choosing B.G.E. for my own game creation. But there's a thing I do not understand in B.G.E. Now, Yofrankie can be run out of the Blender, right? And, if for example I create a game in B.G.E, can I compile it source under windows, and then have something like a full game you can simply run by mygame.exe (for example) or I'll have to use something like Crystal Space, in order to do that?

@TehUone Not to be an ass, and this may help other people that see this also, but since the game is already open source, and I believe it's released under the creative commons license (depending on which of course) it would not pass the terms to enter the app store, as the app store is controlled via DRM. And I'm fairly sure it's under a SA CC license, and or NC. (Share-Alike/Non-Commercial)

@haashirztutorialvids i don't know if there's one for this specific project but keep in mind that ALL their four projects(Elephant Dreams, Big Buck Bunny, Sintel and Yo Frankie!) are free to download as well as ALL the Blender files, textures etcetera. You can even sell them.

this game sucks, looks pretty as hell, but it is nearly impossible to play. search forums before giving money (unless you download for free). you'll see that I'm not the only one that thinks this. can't save your game so when you get trapped in a glitch (as I've done 4 out of 9 times) you have to start over. Whoever edited this deserves an award. I'm sure they had to do many takes, because all that stuff is nearly impossible to do. Love that it's open source and beautiful, but it's not complete

literally, the only problem that i can see with this game is the lava, and it really doesn't bother me at all. its still freaking amazing that something like this was made completely with open-source programs o.o
@superkelerman8D: It uses GLSL Materials, nodes, and other things. However, even without GLSL materials, if made well, it looks pretty cool. You have to have brand-new graphics cards for GLSL, though. (I don't have those)
whenever i use the game engine, it just shows me some crappy third-class 3d stuff. This looks like it had been rendered for an hour before playing. HOW????

@seriouslycgi That's somthing you should seriously recommend to the blender foundation. That's an awsome idea. If a console like playstation could download an emulator and games onto its hard disk then people could make their own games. It would increase interest in blender and would be a great way for playstation to make money.
I hope another game is on the blender foundations list. They have the 'Big Buck Bunny', 'Elephants Dream' and the soon to be released 'Sintel' movies. This is the only extensive game they've done, and i think it's a little outdated considering blenders current capabilities.

@superkelerman8D: It uses GLSL Materials, nodes, and other things. However, even without GLSL materials, if made well, it looks pretty cool. You have to have brand-new graphics cards for GLSL, though. (I don't have those)

whenever i use the game engine, it just shows me some crappy third-class 3d stuff. This looks like it had been rendered for an hour before playing. HOW????

@seriouslycgi That's somthing you should seriously recommend to the blender foundation. That's an awsome idea. If a console like playstation could download an emulator and games onto its hard disk then people could make their own games. It would increase interest in blender and would be a great way for playstation to make money.

I hope another game is on the blender foundations list. They have the 'Big Buck Bunny', 'Elephants Dream' and the soon to be released 'Sintel' movies. This is the only extensive game they've done, and i think it's a little outdated considering blenders current capabilities.
