Been listening to BH since 15. . Named after Billie Dove. Wrote on her in college. My very very fav. Fav track on that classic CD collection I had of her. And ..."Away from the City, That Hurts And Mocks...." You know...Back in high school, they couldn't understand why I was listening to her and Jazz.
There are so many great aspects to this song that I love: Billie's realistic portrayal of longing for that someone, the wonderful lyrics, and the music that just carries you away. I hum this song to myself from time to time...

This song just makes me want to dance. Billie Holiday is truely remarkable and amazing. Her voice is amazing.
