WOW, amazing after so many years this places are almost the same when they filmed the movie way back then. I saw this movie when I was only 10 years old and it terrified the hell out of me...well I saw the movie last night again and it did the same effect, I think Linda Blair should have won the Oscar for the best supporting actress as it was supposed to be in 1973 the media made a cloud over this, too controversial and she didn't won the award.
I was a student @ Catholic University in Washington, D.C. when they were filming "The Exorcist"..we saw an ad in the paper for extras one day, and we all headed over to Georgetown. Didn't get to be in the film, but met William Peter Blatty and had him sign a copy of the book for me.
@buffedtrainer That's so amazing. I would've loved to have been there, too. On one of the special edition versions of the movie for its anniversary, there was an interview with Jason Miller (the actor that plays Father Karras), and he talks about the Georgetown University students hanging around during the filming of the scene at the end where he's dying on the staircase. He said, in a good natured way, that they really "pissed him off."
Your attention to detail is supperb. This movie has always been my most watched/favored film of all time. With setting the story line aside, the ambience of this movie, is what draws you in. So personal. How did you find all of the locations and what year was this filmed?
luved watching this video, but i wish they added a verbal run through of the particular scenes with details.

@stitchesful That's not what "pissed him off". It was Bill firing guns on set to motivate the actors.

This is a great video - you should definitely add some simple, short voice over commentary or descriptions. Then it would be just perfect. Good work.
