I think Ry might have been one of the first people to put a Gibson pickup on a Fender. I certainly don't know of anyone else in 1977 who had a P-90 on his Strat.

In the 80's Ry Cooder was very populair in the Netherlands, just as John Hiatt was/is. I've seen 4 of Cooders concerts in Amsterdam of which 2 of these concerts he was joined by John Hiatt who I have seen in 4 different concerts.
