  • Agree. This is definitely Grant's greatest work. Awesome video, awesome album.

"Little Moon," "...Jupiter," "Blind Tom" and "One Morning"...beautiful songs, inspiring and wonderfully lyrical stories in their own right. I could name all the tracks as greats to be honest. Look forward to seeing him every time he tours since I first saw GLB in the UK in the mid-nineties.

He has made some fabulous music on previous solo albums, as well as with his band GLB.

  • @willifish1 -- was referring to a comment that has been removed -- how to make extra money.

  • This album and 'Jubilee' without doubt his finest works. Terrific post - thanks for sharing. I fell in love with every track on first listen - this is a beautiful collection of music.

  • It is funny that this Grant Lee Phillips video should be the keyhole to making extra money.

In keeping with the theme, if you need to make extra dough, google the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA). If you sign up for membership, they send you lots of job opportunities for writing side projects. My wife does this. But you have to be a good writer/editor.

I haven't listened to Phillips much; I'm a fan of Paul Bryan and Aimee Mann, and that led me here, to check out his new album.

  • @paperbacknovel

    WTF???

  • Grant, you kind man, it's been 13 years since I saw you perform. Would you please come to Amsterdam!?

Or somewhere near, I'd be happy to make the trip!

Club Largo is too far away!

  • Just found out you'll be in Paradiso on February 24th!!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful! I am very, very happy!

  • grant lee phillips solo stuff is way too boring compared to the buffalo days. it's like tori amos last albums; just plain and too produced. i miss the raw sound and attitude, he is too comfortable in his shoes

  • for me it's never been about the tempo of his songs. the production is pretty bare, he doesnt use much to make his music other than the bare necessities. for me, it's always been about Grant Lee's voice. He could sing with trash trucks in the backround and i'd buy it. It's his voice i like to hear and the true carrier of his music.

  • i do miss the glb days, those albums were great! but like freedy johnston, paul westerberg, and jay farrar, i will follow grant lee forever. he's just one of my guys.

  • I'm a fan since "Fuzzy" you never disapoint me ! Excellent album. Thanks !
