The other 256mb doesn't work right.. but soon it will all be there correctly in the next OTA update..

Cyan has worked with Google to fix the RAM problem, and his latest version 5.0+ all have the ram fix. That is why ExclusiveGslick now has like 185mb free.. cuz it has double the ram.. It's like doubling the ram from 1GB to 2GB in windows 7 or Vista... makes a huge difference

You are 100% right bro. killing apps we no longer using is important - battery wise, even though our phone is a multi taking beast. hsdpa speeds are also for the win 24/7.

There's a HUGE reason why it's faster on Cyan's rom. Exclusive just mentioned it. Our phone has 512MB of ROM, & RAM. Ram is what shows up when in task manager killin apps. you'll have 80mb, or 105. my N1 has a lot after everything i kill. But that is dropping to 45mb-80 with a few apps runnin. R phones only have access, & work with 256mb of the ram. the other HALF is messed up & doesn't work right.

damn this is awesome!!!! Will i need to root my phone??? If so then i wont do it, google made the phone with those LED so that means there will be an update to activate those LED. So ill better wait if need to root the phone.

i did the update and everything worked great except i cant get the damn settings for the nexus live wallpaper... damn it

I don't know if it is the video or not, but your nexus seems much more reactive than mine with original firmware. Is this cause of the cyanogen roms are more faster or is it only my impression?

dude its faster as fuck, the reason being is, when i had stock non rooted, i had about 9 apps running at once and I only had 60 or less MBS of memory left, but now with cyanogen 5 with kspec theme, im running 15 processes and 185mb free of space, I truly do not understand why, cause on my g1 it wasn't so drastic but on the nexus one, its an incredible thing to root just for the speed and extra saving of ram for apps. Of course the rooted apps are insane but still it helps the phone usability!

Interesting, I didn't know this. It's really strange that they keep part of ram memory not usable, I would like to know why. Let's hope they will fix this with the next update
