It's just hilarious how much this contrasts with how people who smoke pot really behave. It shows that guy in the chair looking wild-eyed and crazy and it's just so damn cartoonish that it's hard to believe this film was ever meant to be taken seriously. But I suppose it would have been convincing to people at the time who knew nothing about marijuana and had never actually seen someone smoke it before.
