  • @jimmah55555

Well actually, you are mistaken there. Almost every single girl in my school and many girls from schools local to ours have had Cotillions, and I'm from Britain.

  • So do these girls have a price tag on their backs or is it an open auction?

  • @coleswoman420 Your missing the point. NO ONE IN ITALY HAS DONE THIS FOR THE LAST 500 YEARS.

  • lol asians

  • I don't get it. what's the point??

  • NIce!!

  • Which one of these girls are you? Is your mother a famous society woman? Thanx for answering my question.

  • Asian Debutantes, Black Debutantes, Fat White Debutantes...... WHY NO JEWISH DEBUTANTES??????? : (

  • i'm having my debut on march...turning 18 for us filipinos is a big thing..the pressure is huge...

  • How lovely :)

  • how did she get the ball gown and the other girls are in those garbage bags?

  • I like the idea of a debutante ball. Still there should be more passion into the dance.. dou you dnce with someone you know really well or with a stranger? Well to be completly honest it looks like the boys are concentraiting to much on there steps ... still everyone looks lovely

  • but the kinda looks like wedding gown

  • i love it hahaha

  • can someone PLEASE explain to me wat this debutante ball thing is about..i've just been really curious to knw

  • It's part of the Filipino culture. When a lady turns 18..they celebrate big time. Kinda like quinceniera with the Hispanics :)

    Hope this helps.

  • in an american its like a sweet sixteen but in filipinos they do it at 18th but its not sweet 18 its debut

  • It is a formal introduction to society in America and Britain for young women of status. It is not just from the Philippines.

There is nothing so much fun. It has historical ties to at least the 1700's in America and much earlier in England.

  • i used to have to go to cotillion its was fun but the boys never lead like the were supposed to!

  • This has been part of the Filipino culture. Been practiced forever!

  • pweee

  • is this A wedding?

  • what do you wear to a debutant ball as a guest please help me!!

  • Wear something formal! Something you'd wear to dinner at a fancy restaurant.

  • @peaceoutforlife Why do American love digging up died out traditions? No one, not the French or the British have done this stupid thing for the last 200 years. You think it makes you look “high class” or whatever, but personally i couldn’t think of anything more tacky than this.

  • wen i went to my cuz cotillion i wore a dress and my bro wore a suit its like a wedding kinda

  • Oh....cotillions are so funny to me. Haha.
