Mine will do 55mph on GPS. Same boat, same engine...

I'm looking at a 23' with a 454. I'm new to power boating and was wondering what kind of gas these big engines go through. How many gallons of gas do you use going at cruising speed for 1 hour?

it's funny cause my neighbour got a boat with an 130 hp honda outboard engine, i got a boat with an 40 hp mercury outborder and i'm just 9mph slower than him.

haha i jsut bought today a 5.0 l bayliner capri and i go to pick it up tommorow...seeing this vid makes me wonder how much fun imma have now...my boat hadthe duel stainless steel props...this make abig difference?

alluminium props are better if you hit rocks, stainless is too strong it could damage your whole prop shaft. so just dont hit any rocks lol
