Sure. I don't see why not. I won't be able to do it for a while. I am just finishing up a tig series. Then on to mig. After that there will be a bit more stick (uphill) then i will be free to do something like that.
Hey big daddy, I use banding material. Its that real thin metal that comes on pallets keeping the pallet banded together. It is black metal. The stuff I have is about 1 1/2" wide and less than a 1/16"thick. I doubled up on it and made some welds on the sides and ends to hold it together. Works great.
I would have tacked the 90 to the pipe first and then fit up the flange! Local 597 Pipefitters Chicago!
