hey I'm waiting for my sc 207, and I'm a huge pre passenger mnemic fan. I've heard this guitar is really dark. I'm not looking forward to it if it is. I use elixirs and turn the gain down and the mids up to get that growly bark these guys are known for. Will I be disapointed? thanks (I couldn't really tell on the video)

I've never played a 207. This is a 607B. The 207 doesn't have the EMGs.

And I think the 207 has a shorter scale length. I can't be positive of that, though.

It makes a huge difference to the sound and playability.

you think this is good for devil driver stuff? what tuning does it come in stock?

Comes in (low to high) BEADGBe. For their stuff in Drop B, sure. For the new album, which I believe is in Drop C, probably not unless you put smaller strings on it. It has amazing sustain, and great tone.

With the low B can you do power chords like in drop D or do you have to make the stretch?

not unless you tune the B down to A will you be able to do 1 finger power chords. 7 string guitars are still tuned in fourths, so you'd have to play it in a standard shape unless you drop tuned the B.

Hmm.. I've been playing like a month now, decided to try and learn this... but you are playing it a lot differently than the tabs I've seen, probably just different fingerings, but I haven't been playing long enough to really pick up on stuff like that. Did you learn this by ear?

Yeah, by ear. I haven't used a tab in years. You'll be a much better guitarist, faster, if you don't use tabs.

Oh, lol. It plays amazingly. I don't even consider it an LTD really. This is as close as an LTD will get to an ESP. Came setup perfectly, perfect intonation and whatnot. Great stock pickups.

Thanks man, got to wait about 2 more days, then im ordering this guitar haha. Plays much better then the COW7 and Hellraiser 7 i played. And the 81-7s are great. I played the non baritone through a MB Solo 50 head, and woooow, did it djent. Haha
