  • MG42 I say has the most epic sound to ever come out of a Machine Gun. Kudos to Germany.

  • The MG42 is the legend of GERMAN ENGINEERING... Ich liebe Deutschland!!!

  • Wicked intro, man. \m/

  • Die HitlerSense :DNein ich bin kein Nazi ^^

  • Holy-Terrorist:>*=* Weapon MG42 is made in Germany!

I speak french and little english.

  • how was the accuracy with the tripod?

  • GI's called it hitlers buzz saw

  • das auto panzerdivisions :)

  • 1.06 - 1.08 would have taken 100 takes for a movie effect..!

  • Why put it in a tripod built for a .50 cal or above? seems weird that's all!!!

  • @hitmanhornster - This tripod is designed specifically for the MG42 and was German Military Issue.

  • @hitmanhornster You don't know much about MG42's do you? That is a purposely designed tripod to enable the MG42 to be used in the sustained fire mode, as opposed to the light role.

  • You should have filmed down range so we could see the bullets hit the target in slow mo

  • @tim11308 - at that rate of fire you don't see much of anything unless you have a very high speed camera

  • @tim11308 - at that rate of fire you don't see much of anything unless you have a very high speed camera

  • made in germany

  • @EvilxMerlin The MG42s bullet-hose cyclic rate necessitated one of many technical innovations for which German engineers are justly famous: quick-change barrels. A standard feature of modern military MGs, I'm pretty sure ghe MG42 was the first to have one.

  • @weaponeer 1) so I see it is...looks like I learned something new today. 2) which parts? Were they perhaps from a country that used MG42s well after the war and refitted them to fire 7.62x51?

  • @usergreg1498 the parts are Feed Tray, bolt, barrel, and booster from the MG3. this converts it to for the 7.62x51, as well as the ability to use M60 Links.

  • I had no idea the MG42 was ever chambered for 8mm Mauser; so far as I know, it only ever fired 7.92mm. For that matter: someone was clearly handy with a toolbox to convert to 7.62 NATO...that couldn't have been easy.

  • @usergreg1498 - 7.92×57mm and 8mm Mauser are the same thing. the conversion to 7.62x51mm is just a simple parts swap

  • What a beauty

  • Very nice! I need to do some slow-motion videos too.

  • How is it legal for you to have that kind of gun

  • @ahenryb1 - you can legally own machine guns, suppressors, grenade launchers, SBS (sawed off shotguns) and even tanks in the US, as long as you can afford it, and pass all the background requirements, as well as pay the $200 tax stamp. especially if you are a manufacturer of machine guns aka (C2/SOT)

  • MG42 shoots 1200RPM but MG45/MG42V shoots 1500 RPM

  • nice...

  • es una lastima que no le pongan el sonido en vez de música

  • @elmartu1 - high speed video has no sound.

  • How much do MG42s sell for in the US?

  • Nice Rig!! It absorbs recoils and keeps the nose from rising. Excellent!

  • Nothing better than German engineering :D

  • this is not firing 1500rpm. i can hear that.

  • Us should make a copy forthem selves mg3 and 42 are awsome

  • mann hat das schiessen damit spass gemacht, auch auf lafette...einfach nur geil...

  • Is this not an MG3?

  • @toneuncagefire - MG42, converted to fire 7.62x51 using M60 Links. simple mod. MG3's in the US are pretty rare. typically MG42 or M53

  • @weaponeer - Cheers, its certainly a beautiful weapon!

  • @toneuncagefire oh its an MG42 the good old scool :D

this is the hardest machinegun ever but this 1500 rounds are lame :D

2000 rounds up are the real firerate of this gun :D

an it will be faster and faster (in the old style)

  • @DaRealGozu

The fastest "old style" MG42 was 1500 rpm, but the Handbook of the German Army limited soldiers to 250 round "bursts" and 300 to 350 rounds per minute so that the barrel wasn't damaged by wear or getting too hot and warping.

  • Why Robin Williams is holding the belt?

  • Ja,he is battle winer just feed him!Respect MG 42!

  • Made in Germany! Best MG 4ever.

  • why's the butt jiggle so much?

  • Look at that bakelite shake!!

  • @cubophobie richtig

  • ***** le meilleur joujou qui soit

  • you should stop after 3 belts (150 rounds) to prevent pipe overheating

  • 5 *****

  • Ok, question. What does it take to convert an MG42 from 8mm to 7.62? I would think bolt, top cover and barrel. Anything else?

  • @SpencerAK74M - plus feed tray, and booster

  • @weaponeer Ah ha! Thank you sir! Now it'll feed the standard US disintegrating links then?

  • @SpencerAK74M - thats it... but the replacement parts need to be MG3 parts.

  • omg it is steve jobs

  • this isnt a MG 42 its a MG 3. The original MG42 fiered 1800 rounds a Minute.

  • @SUPERritschi - I sold him the MG42 parts kit, and as a C2/SOT he built it into the full auto MG42. because he only uses 8mm with blanks, he has the M53 Feed Tray, bolt, and barrel. it's an MG42 converted to fire 7.62x51mm. The MG3 has a longer ejection port. I have never seen an MG3 parts kit in the US.

  • @SUPERritschi

The Original MG42 had several weights of bolts and could fire at a variety of different fire rates. If I am not mistaken, I think the heaviest were as "slow" as 900RPM and the more well known (probably) 1500RPM.

If it is converted to 7.62NATO, you might be able to tell by the belt, as I have never heard of a 8mm belt the disintegrates.

Regardless, its a great looking GPMG and a good video.

  • @UnusualKitsune - because it was converted to 7.62x51mm, and had the proper feed tray, it was possible to just use 7.62x51mm on M60 links. (far better than the MG34 and MG42 Belt). not a big deal considering the M60 was based on the MG42.

  • I, as collector own full auto Yugo M53, 800 RPM. Mine it's partially refurbished German made Mg42(still has some original marks).

  • a mg42 uses a 7.92X57 mauser round a MG3 uses a 7.62 NATO round

  • @moek111 - unless they are converted like this one

  • @moek111 Don`T try to explain it to some Brit s or some cowboys - after all they want to buy it at MC:DONALDS

  • Why the hell would you not want to shoulder up and shoot that bad boy like its supposed to be instead of on that stand? Seems like you're not getting the full experience of the buzz saw.

  • @guitarq359 - because many of the shooters were first time class III shooters

  • Thanks for the vid. sweet.

  • i can pul the trigger that fast

  • @justwired - 1500 rounds per minute would be one heck of a trigger pull... lol

  • MG42 shoots 1200 RPM but MG45 shoot 1500

  • @AnubisProductionable 1200 - 1500 rpm

  • fat gun fanatic americans watch german technology

  • love this gun :D

    greetz from germany

  • love this gun :D

    greetz from germany

  • @Tr00p4 hammer teil find ich auch ^^

  • Thing of beauty.

  • That guns so amazing it'll catch on fire if you hold the trigger down! (;

  • @noobsaibotsbro123 It won't catch on fire but the barrel will explode.

  • 3D at 1:08

  • Amazing views.

    Thanks for given it.

  • My favorite Weapon.... its sush a Monster. Greetings from Germany

  • fucking barrel swing to much, about 30 cm from ammochain to output. but anyway a nice video.

    greetings from germany

  • men with small penis and big ego.... war .....

  • @my6daddy6loves6men this is not the place for personal ads try craiglizt

  • @my6daddy6loves6men You need big balls to carry and use a weapon like this.

  • that is real firepower

  • WTF? Show the 1,200+ rpm or show the damage done. not rounds going into a gun.

  • @MrLtruesdell - that was 1200, but shown in high speed so you can actually see something (we have another video showing the normal speed) and the impacts are not impressive in high grass (our backstop)

  • @weaponeer: A good friend of mine (now deceased) told me that at Anzio, he learned that being on the receiving end of the MG42 WILL teach a person how to dig a fox hole in concrete with bare hands!

  • And yet, other countries think the higher the caliber, the better... It's all about RPMs. Why did we change it into the MG3 instead of leaving in alone?

  • @FallingWorthMusic - Nato for one.. in case of a world conflict NATO states would be able to share ammunition, and ease logistics (feeding an MG42 takes large supply lines), so the MG42, became the MG1. other improvements to the design, resulted in MG1A1,MG1A3, MG2, and MG3. The MG3, MG74, M/62, MGA3, MG 42/59, M51, and M53 are basically the same thing. The majority of the MG42 parts kits in the US are original MG42's as well as Yugo M53's (I have one of each)

  • what is the rod for that moves up and down when firing..located underneath and at the rear?

  • @Marlever357 - that rod is used to fire the weapon when in the weapon mount. It's part of a linkage system that works with the recoiling mount, and it's connected to the multi position firing handle.

  • @weaponeer Hi,ok thanks for that..amazing weapon,you must be a very proud owner.

  • And yet in WaW, you can run around with this beast.

  • THE best german machine gun and a personal liking of mine

  • THE best german machine gun and a personal faverat of mine

  • DEUTSCHE wertarbeit!!! gibt kein besseres MG in der klasse!!! MG42=heute MG3

  • @hocico25 Hk Mg4 aber sags keinem ;)

  • so many poor Americans killed by this at Omaha

  • Completely illegal in Belgium, and for good reason.

  • @kwalliander Because they fell so easily to the Nazis?

  • 1:03 - 1:09 would be awesome in a 3D War movie

  • it is still in use in the german "Bundeswehr". But it is modified with a pin to make it slower.

  • @rainerzufall88 weel honey its still in us in all the NATo pact as MG3,just check the data...

  • @rainerzufall88 weel honey its still in use in all the NATo pact as MG3,just check the data...

Unterschiedliche Waffenklassen. ;)

  • MG 42 i is the world fasest machine gun i think.

  • @toniiii9 not fast enough for a gatling minigun but still very fast ;)

  • these were still in use in the 80-ies by the Germans when I was a NATo soldier...

  • @BigRooster747 They are still in use today.... but not exactly as MG42... they are MG42/53 or MG3 now.... basically the same gun but with a few modifications... they haven´t got the old 7.92mm now it is the 7.62 NATO

  • 1:07 when that cartridge flys at the camera in slow-mo!

  • @545Krinkify most of the people shooting had never fired a machine gun before, and the MG42 is not the best way to start.. lol the mount was to insure all bullets were on target

  • I think thats the later mg42 which was 1200 rpm?

  • 1:02 ITS ALMOST 3D!!! WOAH!!

  • Hmmm...didn't the Storm Troopers in Star Wars have those things toO??

  • @anthonymaw i think they had moded MG34

  • All you need is a couple of sandbags, and you can reduce the movement of the stand. Love this video in slowmo, really shows the ability of the lafette in terms of recoil control and stability

  • können die auch männlich schiessen?

  • the best machine gun of World War II !

  • LOL. Great vid, the best part is the dude with the red beard smiling the whole time. He looks like papa smurf with red beard. xD

  • PORN

  • Kind of ruins the portability factor.

  • @xtelevisionset - when it's mounted to the machine gun mount, it was considered by the germans as a Heavy Machine gun (HMG), but when used without the mount, it was considered a Light Machine Gun (LMG). This video shows the MG42 on the heavy mount for added control (most of the shooters in the video have never fired a machine gun, or an MG42, so the mount keeps the rounds in the impact area for safety. The Mg42 has a lot of recoil and pushback at 1100+ rounds per minute especially in 8mm.

  • @weaponeer Yeah, still cool regardless. Thanks for the info, I would much rather be using the mount than shoulder firing in a non combat situation.

  • @weaponeer What was the second song that was playing?

  • @weaponeer Heavy Machine Gun! Hope its the sound-guy from Metal Slug =3

  • @weaponeer I was told there was actually next to no recoil because of the massive weight it has. Is this a personal assumption or from personal experience?

  • @thecrowandthehawk - on the mount it's great due to the mounts recoil system, but in the LMG mode, the MG42 in 8mm has some significant recoil (I'll take my 50 BMG recoil compared to that one), but it's based on the actual recoil of the 8mm recoiling at the rate of fire (1100 rpm+) so it's always recoiling into you and it's some real abuse (yet it's still ultra fun). the MG3/M53 are much easier to control and the recoil still gets your attention, but it's manageable with the 7.62x51mm

  • @thecrowandthehawk I've shot my own Mg-42. no there if definitely recoil. But i find it a bit more manageable in a mounted position compared to most because its more of a constant push than the weapon jerking around wildly.

  • Thumbs up for tired of seeing people ask for thumbs up.

  • @thescanada Thumbs up for that comment.

  • this is the most beautiful thing I have even seen in slow mo

  • thumbs up for 20th century fox spoof at the beginnig

  • If you can afford a camera that slows down time as fast as possible A gun barrel looks like a wet piece of Spaghetti. VERY cool looking.

  • is this the mg42 or the m53 because there is a difference

  • @cheeseshoes - MG42 with a caliber change to 7.62x51. it was an original WWII MG42 demilled MG parts kit, that was rewelded by a C2/SOT.

  • @weaponeer I have two original kits in 8mm my firend gave me for replacing the starter on his truck (both have43 and 44 dates), I would like to do them in semi auto, are they hard to put together? I did my Bren and my 16 inch barreled Sten in semi auto, just needing some info on the 42.

  • @bad74maverick1 - the MG42 is easy compared to the Bren... I think i have some data on my website, and I know of one or more places with information

  • @weaponeer cool I am interested in jumping on this project but heard horror stories and did not want to get half way through it and have a basket case.

  • @bad74maverick1 grüsse from "Germania" BREMEN!!!!!

  • @weaponeer I have two original kits in 8mm my friend gave me for replacing the starter on his truck (both have43 and 44 dates), I would like to do them in semi auto, are they hard to put together? I did my Bren and my 16 inch barreled Sten in semi auto, just needing some info on the 42.

  • This weapon is LEGAL?,where is it stashed away when not in use, surely not in anyones home.

  • @adoreslaurel perfectly legal you can keep it in your home.

  • @adoreslaurel The weapon is legal you have to have several permits from the federal govt. to own and a couple more to manufacture (I believe) but is totally legal. Look up Knob creek shoot in Kentucky. think this is awesome, prepare to be amazed!

  • Would the rate of fire be roughly the same when firing the original 8mm?

  • My Dad used to shoot the MG 42, 7.62mm German, so to think that they had a gun like that to shoot at you when the normandy landings were on, mate, the real thing, just 2 rounds would cut you in half, also with the tracer round's you could not miss. RIP DAD and all those who served no matter what the side & especialy members of TEAM 6 that Died, just recently. God bless those who serve to protect each of their respective countrys Forces.

  • The shot of the shell flying towards the camera was cool!

  • I want to See what you Hit and the Bullets flies in Slow mo..... ><!!

  • if the rate is 1200 its the MG3...looks the same but MG3 has the NATO break in the lock...

  • In this video the MG42 is used as heavy mg (light mg would mean the use of bipod only).

  • germany had the ultimate tecnology for WWII but they lose the war but if they would have won the war we would be talking german

  • @50calinurmouth Germans lost the war 'cause Hitler micromanaged it & made too many bad decisions ... if he'd let his Generals do the planning & approvals we'd all be Seig Heiling or in "work" camps

  • 1:04 would be cool in 3D.

  • WHO SEND ALL THOSE BABYS TO FIGHT ?!

LOOK AT ALL YOUR TINY GUNS !

  • Out of interest, how long does it take to fire that gun for 12 seconds?

  • @TheOriginalElkstone - Answer: 12 seconds

  • @weaponeer Very good, one of the first who didn't answer with $400,000 dollars

  • @TheOriginalElkstone It takes 400000 seconds

  • @TheOriginalElkstone what the fuck kind of question is that? lol

  • the bullets were there and now there not

  • That was a 1080p video?^^ never ever

  • @H1lle1337 - high speed video is not in HD. Never heard of a high speed camera that shoots in HD, if there is, it would likely be above 100k, long past my Youtube budget

  • Best Porn Ever !

  • Was this gun still used by any country after ww2 ?

  • @Festivephone1979 - The MG42 was used unitl 1959, the M53 was used until 1999, and small quantities exported to Iraq and still found there, the MG3 is still in use, and the Austrian army is using the newest model called the MG 74, and I forgot, the Pz Mg 51/71 from Switzerland is still in use. all of them are modifications of the MG42.

  • @weaponeer Thanks for the info. The Germans had such awesome weapons technology. I knew the MG 42 was an amazing weapon but never realised you could change the barrel in 7 seconds. I presume the hot barrels could be reused once cool?

  • @Festivephone1979 - Yes, the barrel once cool could be used again, but the problem with the MG42 is not only did the barrel heat up very quickly, but you also ran out of ammo very quickly as well.

  • @Festivephone1979

a veteran mg crew could change out the barrel in 3 seconds and reload in 4 seconds

  • @weaponeer Dont forget it's son the m60 american modified

  • wait wasn't the mg42 a heavy machine gun

  • fastest 300 bucks I ever seen spent in a minute haha, but it's all worth it
