  • Ron Paul this is your Year

  • @thevashongroup No it's not

  • It's amazing how he's quite an old gentleman and yet understands the internet - obviously not the technical details (and he admits this fact) but on the fundamental level he understands the power and attraction of the internet. That's more than republican candidates who grew up with the technology can claim.

  • please don't regulate the Internet, only place I can truly be free.

  • Ron Paul is getting so much support through the internet, but he DOESN'T SUPPORT NETWORK NEUTRALITY! Dx

  • @bbrriiaann9922 Actually I think he is, through what he just said on this video. The fact that he doesn't bring up the term speaks volumes to the issue itself—it should just be left as is. No law needs to be passed to keep the internet the way it is. All that needs to be done is to veto any law that even hints at regulating the internet. Shoot 'em all down = keep government out of it = net neutrality :)

  • @ncaauwe I see your point and I agree with you. One thing that still worries me though is that the free market could render the internet useless. If internet service providers start charging for bandwidth usage, I might not be as willing to watch a bazillion videos about some politician named "Ron Paul." Whoever that is... I'll probably just use my money wisely and go watch Numa Numa and Freddy instead. I guess it is just the tragedy of the commons.

  • @bbrriiaann9922 Haha, well no one can dictate your own usage, that's for sure. However, if what you were getting at is that ISPs would try to take advantage of us, then the flip-side of the free market kicks in, and we simply don't use those ISPs. Providers will always pop up that offer what the market demands. Kill regulation and requirements and the like, and they're all essentially on the same playing field. Obviously there are more factors, but you can see my point I hope :)

  • What a dirtbag. He says he doesn't want to regulate the internet but if he gets elected you can bet your ass that he will regulate the internet. Conservatives are all the same. They all want feudalism and monarchies/oligarchies, which is what is happening on a worldwide scale right now.

  • @jonhdoehe1 obvious troll is obvious

  • @Shwaggetyshfifty

Obvious troll is obvious??? You must have voted for Bush.

  • @jonhdoehe1 DAMNIT TROLLS ARE SUPPOSED TO ADMIT THAT THEY'RE TROLLING WHEN THE OBVIOUSNESS IS POINTED OUT! FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. On the bright side, your assumption is so cute, I now have a boner.

  • @Shwaggetyshfifty

I'm going to make another assumption: You're stupid but you aren't genetically stupid. You were born into a box made by conservative leadership and you just have no idea anything exists beyond the confines of your box. Go watch Zeitgeist: Moving Forward and if you haven't at least considered leaving your stupid box then I was wrong--You are genetically stupid.

  • @jonhdoehe1 NO MOAR BAIT FOR ARROGANT TROLL D:<

  • @Shwaggetyshfifty

Okay, no more bait. Bye troll.

  • @jonhdoehe1 Ron Paul may be stupid, but he's consistent. So I doubt he'll regulate the internet. What will he do? Nothing. That's the point of libertarianism, just blindly believe in the free market. Liberals wish to fix problems, conservatives cause problems through bad legislation, and libertarians wish to cut everything away and hope it works. Orwell was a socialist, and it's clear why.

  • @TokoYami200 socialism works great.... on paper. Seriously though, go read The Jungle by Upton Sinclair and realize why socialism became something in America, and realize why it is ridiculous now. Then come back to me. Now Ron Paul shares A LOT of liberal ideals, so don't say he is stupid when you share social ideals with him. If you don't, welllll you aren't a real liberal.

  • Ron Paul makes sense. Freedom should remain the name of the internet

  • We need to regulate the internet. There are all sorts of scams going on. Pornography and internet gambling. Also illegal and annoying advertisement.

  • @heartlessvietboy if you dont like porn, dont watch it. if you dont like to gamble, dont gamble. dont like ads, get a popup blocker. take a little personal responsibility and stay the fuck out of my freedom.

  • How can I not watch it, its popping up all over my face.

  • @heartlessvietboy please explain your interest in hotforwords ... seems like a bunch of blonds with big racks. its offensive to me, the government should control it!!!

  • I think it's hilarious how he's praising the internet for all the merits which would then be enforced by Net Neutrality.

Then he goes ahead and votes against Net Neutrality. If you believe in free market that's great dude, the world is NOT black and white though. Some things "need" to be regulated. The most important aspect of the internet is the fact that itprovides a forum where all individuals have an equal footing based entirely on the merit of their contributions.

    Learn what it is

  • @MrTripi The fact of the matter is that what you pay for is what you get. If you pay for a certain bandwidth and if your ISP will not deliver or will deliver a second hand product that is already something that can be regulated.

Do you know the real reason why Ron Paul did not vote for net neutrality, it's because it is a stepping stone, it's the first wedge that is needed for the government to be able to regulate more forcefully.

  • @MrTripi It seems ok on paper, but if and when it passes, after a few years new laws will be passed that will be based on this one and those will not be based on the fair usage of the internet but the right usage of the internet.

The government needs a foothold to regulate the internet and this will be it, this will allow them to eventually, slowly control the internet like they did with radio stations.

  • alex jones michael savage ron paul

  • screw ACTA . Ron Paul , we need you on this one !

  • WOW..I READ the comments people make and it really makes me realize that we have some problems...i love ron paul and feel he is a true patriot...and people who oppose him just dont understand where hes coming from and prob have an iq of bannana i say that because on the surface they seem to know what their talking about but once you peel the skin away you realize that they are nothing more than a brainwashed fruit...lol..PLEASE WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE THATS BREWING IN OUR GREAT NATION..

  • ron paul isn't for freedom of the internet and freedom of the press. he's for corporate control of the internet. net neutrality doesn't say that the internet should be regulated. it says that the corporations that provide the internet should be fucking regulated. ron paul is a fucking moron

  • @scatcoitus And youre a fucking idiot for not realizing that net neutrality will eventually lead to government control of the internet.

  • I love you Ron Paul, I contributed to your son's campaign

  • why does youtube stop commentary.

  • @sk8willyg because youtube is getting more and more corrupt and shitty

  • Ron Paul gets my vote!

  • If you voted for Obama it is because you believed his bullshit and therefore are a gullible person. If you had any intelligence, you would have checked his senate record. Or maybe you're black and in that case you must be a racist to vote for a man because of the color of his skin. And that's even worse!

  • I agree with paul on everything except abortion.

  • Dancing monkey, although he has admitted that he is personally against abortion, he wants that decision to be decided by the STATE, not FEDERAL government. HUGE difference there.

  • ah. Well nvm then!

  • ron paul = true freedom

  • god bless ron paul...

  • Hey, maybe you guys can help me, what is Internet Neutrality and Ron Paul's stance on it, I don't get it.

    Thanks,

    Sean

  • The internet is a massive store of information of all kinds (good and bad). Ron Paul believes it should not be regulated, and each individual should be responsible for how he or she uses it, not the government. The Patriot Act was passed under the idea of preventing terrorism. The Patriot Act allows the government to have access to what books you read at public libraries. Misused or extrapolated, the Patriot Act could be a precursor to removing certain books. What kind of books?

  • Books that have information of political sensitivity, such as inflation, or books that expose governmental wrongdoing, or perhaps books that the government doesn't agree with. If there is a law that is passed regulating the internet, it will be promoted to thwart internet predators, or limit adult content. It will have the support of many well intentioned people. But what it could do is to allow restrictions on information the government does not want you to know.

  • In short, liberty is lost a little at a time, many times with the support of the people who are asleep at the switch.

  • You need to think a little harder about what net neutrality is.

Legislation in support of net neutrality would preserve equal access to information by all citizens (who pay for ISP service), even predators. Govt would be interceding in the market, not the overseeing or censoring content.

If the market were to solely shape access to internet information you would have only the wealthy able to freely use it, while the poor could only afford a narrow scope of information determined.

  • The government should absolutely not regulate the content of information.

Letting the market solely shape access though, is restrictive as well.

A good example would be if your cable company provided screen clarity to the highest bidding channel. You and 6% of viewers might love the Animal Planet channel, but it would constantly have a poor snowy image while NBC was crystal clear. The poor image might eventually make you change the channel, and keep new viewers away as well.

  • Concentrated power is something to always be wary of, in the government and in the marketplace.

A lot of Republican/Libertarian ideas are sound, but recklessly implementing them, without regard for the current context (i.e. power concentrated in multinational corps w/ heavy influence over global food production, incredible and outrageous patent rights over life and medicine, media ownership, etc), would just create a caste system.

  • I believe that there should be no legislation regarding to the internet. The internet is like the world. There are good things and bad things, all available for people to find. Parents should monitor their children's use of the internet, but not the government.

Maybe you like Ron Paul's stance on Liberty and Freedom, but there is a real risk to freedom, that is, you may not successful. The possibility of failure is necessary in the concept of freedom to chart your own course.

  • .... Net neutrality is about preserving equality in access to information, not censoring content. Without net neutrality, the content provider (Google, NBC, AOL) with the highest bid will decide what content you see, not the government.

Imagine that libraries are the only place where you could find books. Except in this library, only the publishers who pay the most get to have their books available. Ron Paul's book isn't there b/c he couldn't pay the library enough.

  • All Ron Paul supports must read, very encouraging!

  • Ron Paul for president!

  • Each time I see another clip of Paul is to each time have more trust in the man.

  • Ron Paul is the best Republican candidate for the presidency I have seen so far. Barack Obama and Dennis Kicinish are the best Democrat candidates. I hope Ron Paul wins. He seems like an honest person who is willing to get the job done and to get the world back on it's feet. :)

  • Agreed. I was trying to choose between Obama and Kucinich (and Gravel) when I discovered Paul. Sorry boys, I cant vote for you because I already swiched parties...

  • @HaleyMary Funny how you support Paul and Obama. Paul and Obama agree on almost nothing.

  • @ebeatworld I have friends that like both Ron Paul and Barack Obama as well. I personally have no clue how you could like polar opposites.

  • @HaleyMary Barrack Obama the best dem candidate? How do you feel about that now in hindsight? He's a puppet. Ron is the best candidate, he's not owned.

  • @HaleyMary Are you mad? Obama and Paul share NOTHING in common. Obama is a lying bastard and we have a fucking moron running this nation.

  • @makohit

Not sure if you noticed, but her comment is over 3 years ago. Relax.

  • Comment removed

  • @HaleyMary dont "hope he wins" ... ever heard "hope in one hand, crap in the other, and see which fills first?" ... if you want him as your president, stop hoping and start acting!!!!

  • why is talk on cooperation and fairness deemed dreaming. Have we become so insecure that we cannot realize the path to peace.

  • accept truth as authority not authority as truth. If ron paul was ever assassinated that would be a big bright sign. If anything of that nature were to happen, then take the streets and hold the authority responsible

  • word

  • What is so great is Ron Paul had no idea he would be hailed as the greatest canidate ever - so many people have found the truth!!

  • This is my 7th presidential election to vote, and he's the greatest candidate I've ever seen. It is a priveledge and an honor to have a candidate like him to vote for. With our nation at war and the Patriot act having overturned our nation's Bill of Rights and habeas Corpus in 2006 he could not have come at a better time! This is one of the most important elections in our nation's history, but there IS Hope! --Ron Paul!

  • Ron Paul is certainly the best of the republicans. Barack Obama is the best of the democrats. (They are both smart, knowledgeable, have good judgment, and honest)

They are not running against each other on primary, so LETS GET THEM BOTH NOMINATED.

National election: Ron Paul vs Obama (a real election)

There is no section 15 of article 5 in the US constitution. What are you talking about?

  • What Paul was trying to explain is that there is a Muslim community that sticks together. We mistreat Iraq and many/most other Muslims resent us for that. All that resentment and hate builds to a boiling point like 9/11.

  • a nice example of the lack of intelligence of those who dont understand Dr. Paul.

  • If Ron Paul is elected president it will send a shockwave throughout the world. The bankers will do whatever it takes to keep him out.

  • i don´t believe he can change all of the very important issues, that define our slavery to the bankers, but he can make a sign, that (hopefully) is seen in europe and beyond.

Or the bankers treat him the same way as Lincoln, Kennedy etc.

It might not be the endgame, but it´s a wakeup-call to fight for our rights.

    Please support RON PAUL

  • True my friend. I am just happy to see more people learning the truth. I hope with Paul's experience he knows what he's getting into (we don't want another assassanation). Spread the word about Dr. Paul!

  • Agreed. If Ron Paul wins and does what he says, I fear for his life. He is a brave man.

  • regulating the net would never get accepted by the people

    ever

  • Knowledge is a more dangerous weapon than guns could ever be, and many Americans don't seem to mind giving those up...

Don't underestimate the stupidity of the majority.

  • OK true the majority are stupid, but people can easily see how guns kill people. It's not totally stupid to want to ban guns.

The Internet is a different thing. The people who tend to use the internet seem to be the most politically outspoken, so I doubt internet regulation will ever go through.

  • Permitting the govt to listen to our phone calls and invade our privacy would not be accepted either, but we let that happen!!

    (patriot act)

  • Yes, I know.. but who reads the patriot act, who even knows it exists. And even if people have heard of it, they'll see the word 'patriot' and think it's something to do with how great they, and America, are.

Censoring the internet cannot be done behind the scenes in some unheard of Act, because people are going to notice when their favourite underground sites start going down.

  • 100,000 ron paul supporters each donating $100 on a single day. that is 10 million raised in a single day. thisnovember5th(dot)com

  • To better understand why Ron Paul and his advancing rebel army is regarded with such fear and loathing by supremacist-baiters, racist-baiters, anti-semite-baiters, fascist-baiters, homophobe-baiters, xenophobe-baiters, theocracy-baiters, and even crack-head-baiters; Google search: Human Events Ron Paul; and, PBS Ron Paul Interview.

To crush the opposing candidates; make posters and donate that grow the Rebel Army. They have nowhere to go but down; Ron Paul has nowhere to go but up.

  • We are mad as hell, and we are not going to take it anymore! Freedom!

  • When government fears the internet, there is Liberty; when the internet fears the govenment, there is tyranny.

  • I am not sure what you are saying. What about the service providers wanting to filter content ? Should no one step in to make sure that doesn't happen ? No one thought of that a couple of years ago, the internet was free when it grew up, but the service providers started making noises in that direction, trying to make a two tier net. Should we not take steps to make sure we *preserve* the freedom we have enjoyed so far ?

  • Did you stay-up all night long thinking of that corny shit?

You wackos think you're so profound. In reality, you're uneducated freaks...

  • Just one additional comment, Net Neutrality does NOT mean service providers can't charge for bandwidth. Of course they can and they should. Google pays A LOT for its bandwidth as it should be. Users pay them as well for access. Net Neutrality only means Verizon can't filter out or degrade web sites, because of business interest / political interests they may have. We don't want the internet to become like commercial cable tv, where only the commercial sites get to play.

  • But Ron Paul, here is the problem : right now the network is neutral, everyone can access every site, there is no preference, that is what makes the whole net work, including the success you had ! Verizon and Comcast, however, want to change this : Web sites that pay much more get great service, others like blogs get degraded. THAT is what net neutrality is all about. Its not about regulating the net, but regulating the middle man, the service provider, to make sure they keep neutral.

  • This is the VERY FIRST MAN that has ignited my spirit to VOTE>>... I have a deep thanks for this change that is possible.. I see hope for a future of freedom in RON Paul I am sick of all the lies!!

  • Part 1: MUST READ by Andrew C. Wallace - Oct 28 - NewsWithViews . com

    CHAIN OF COMMAND FOR TREASON

"It is imperative for our survival that Americans know that Elites control most everything and everybody & are responsible for damn near every bad thing happening in the US.

Elites control everything using the "Chain of Command for Treason" consisting of Elites & their Foundations who rule Corporations which in turn control Government Officials in all three Branches."

  • Part2:

"Many Elites are also government officials & consider it to be the family business just like royalty.

Americans must know identity of these Elites, how they are responsible for invaders killing, raping, robbing, and molesting millions of Americans every year." A.C. Wallace

  • Part 3:

"Americans must also know how Elites are at war with average Americans in every possible way, they are systematically looting us and our country, converting us into an impoverished nation of slaves, and stealing our sovereignty.

Elites are the leaders of both political parties, there is no difference between the parties, they are partners in everything." A.C. Wallace

  • Face it IPOMoron you are a fucking idiot and everybody knows it. And by the way, I am probably older than you SON. Now go suck the great neo-con cock that you worship so much.

    LOL Loser.

  • IPOMoron doesn't know shit! Ha ha ha ha ha!

IPOMoron is a dipshit! Ron Paul is the winner AGAIN!!!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Ooooooo I have an economics degree from USC and that makes me smart..... Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

  • nododon...

    What did he WIN jackass?

LOL - you nutcases think he won the nomination! HAHAHAHAA!

Face it - you nuts can hijack the phones, but Ron Paul was BOOED, and sounded like a 16yr. old high school girl.

Rudy will be your President Nod and you will like it...

  • IPOMoron. You are such a stupid fuck. He won the FOX debate and CBS has a poll they did where he is at 78%. You fucking retarded asshole.

You must be mentally challenged or taking psychotropic drugs for some kind of mental problem. You have lost your credibility of what little you had. LMAO You dweeb.

  • Tsk... tsk...

nodon - I don't know why you try to engage me son - I get you all upset each time I post.

Did you get my response on the other page?

The next time you call me "retarted", make sure you know how to spell it first jackass...

You WILL bow to Rudy - he WILL be your next President.

    You WILL like it.

  • The "booing" is what results from an audience of warhawks whose combined IQ barely matches that of a housefly.

  • Wow - poor spin dude.

There would have been cheers had the debate been held in an insane asylum, but alas, it was not, was it?

  • Insanity ward? We in the anti-war camp have not had to revoke a single assertion. You have had to revoke every single one of your original contentions in support of this.

  • What?

    You make no sense...

  • Let me connect this for you - you accused us of being "insane". I am saying that inconsistency (political schizophrenia) is not our trait, but yours.

  • Fist sign on insanity - denial!

  • And you're in acceptance? I hardly think so.

  • I accept the fact I am a realist and have rational arguments and solutions...

  • You and yours have had 8 years to put them through; do tell why they have failed so miserably.

  • Try a green tomato; then try a ripe tomato.

  • It is not for you to decide whether or not you are insane; and it is not for you to decide whether or not you will be hanged.

It is for you to decide, whether to be or not be; and it is the People to decide your fate.

  • I, representing the People, have decided that you are insane. ;)

No, truly, I do appreciate the depth of your philosophy.

  • IPOMoron. You had a nice public education didn't you? It shows. You are really stupid and ignorant.

  • LOL - I guess the money I spent getting my Economics degree from USC was wasted, huh?

    Grow-up turd.

I LOVE how they booed the shit out of Ron Paul tonight!

He sounded like a little whining 16yr. old...

  • IPOMoron doesn't have a clue. LOL

  • In the wake of Congressman Paul's comments in Tuesday night's debates, Michigan Republican Party Chairman Saul Anuzis suggested that a petition should be circulated to kick Paul out of participating in future Presidential debates.

  • Paul is not for network neutrality because it amounts to regulation. He wants it privatized because your corporate superiors would never conspire to impose their will on you through censorship. No siree.

  • It is terrifying beyond belief that this man holds a position of power in America.

How can this happen in the modern era?

  • IPOMonster. You are a stupid ignorant atheist who doesn't even know that your neo-con candidates Rudy G. and Fred T. are members of the CFR. What a moron! Do your homework or you will put on restriction for a week. Bad Monster!

  • What is CFR?

  • "The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is the American Branch of a society that originated in England... (and)... believes national boundaries should be obliterated and one-world rule established." - Carroll Quigley, CFR member and Author of Tragedy and Hope

  • In his book Memoirs, published in 2002, David Rockefeller, Sr. "For more than a century ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions.

  • (Rockefeller - part 2) Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure -- one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."

  • ooooo.... aaaaaaaaaah... more conspiracies!

  • Ron Paul, on the other hand, is not a member of the CFR and would never join something as un-American as the Council on Foreign Relations. Dr. Paul is a patriotic American statesman.

Join the RON PAUL REVOLUTION! 2008 is just the beginning.

  • ooooooo... aaaaaaaah.... What a hero!

  • Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Ron Paul wins the debate fair and square with 38%. You dumbass! With your economics degree too! What a loser!

Fucking retard. LMAO. Ha ha ha ha ha! You wasted your money at USC you stupid dork!

  • remember remember the 5th of november!

    thisnovember5th . com

time to show ron paul we arent playing, that we have his back!

  • I love Dr. Paul, and I'm for most of what he says, but there are some things that most likely do need Govt assistance (regarding the Internet) to happen -- country-wide fiber broadband, for example. Then again, maybe he is right, maybe it will only ever happen (in this country) with companies like Verizon, etc. After all we invented the Internet and still are a mostly DSL/dial-up nation (which is pretty sad).

  • I wish Dr. Paul had taken this video a bit further and expressed his views on 'Net Neutrality'. Easy way to get several hundred thousand geeks (myself included) voting for you, if you answer right.

  • Ron Paul is like the crazy aunt in the Congressional Family.

Everyone is embarassed by her, but has to invite her to all the family gatherings anyway...

  • Why are Ron Paul's supporters so crazy?

  • Ron Paul is a Libertarian. Libertarian laws create social inequality, poverty, and lack of accountability on the part of the most powerful by having a population that does not take the effort to hold other contracting parties accountable, or a dysfunctional judicial system where contracts, property rights, and personal liberties cannot be enforced. Now is this the guy that you want to be your future president?

  • Social Inequality? Poverty? where the hell have you been in the last decade.. i think it's great your doing fine.. but as for the rest of us blue-collar workers puttin in our hours every week.. that shit is already happening!! property rights? your obviously just repeating what people tell you.. do u have a land deed laying around anywhere? i'm pretty sure you'll find yourself labeled as a tenant.. Man Can't own land.. it's god's earth and man can't take it..

  • I agree that content shouldn't be regulated but access should not be left up to the corporations. Portals to the internet should be regulated by US the government so they don't get sold to the highest bidder. don't allow the corpos to privatize the internet any more than it already is. They will consolidate and divide it up amongst themselves (ATT, Verizon, etc) and the consumer will pay more. the job of the government (that's us ppl) is to keep the net free from economic oppression.

  • ron is a great man. good for this country, and i am afraid if he has a real chance in 08, he will become another RFK.

kikes are running the real show now, unless everyone awaken to this fact, no real solution.

  • As an American living abroad for now, I am THANKFUL to YouTube & this channel for all the information on Ron & supporters! If not for the internet, and YouTube, I would not be so informed. Aside from the few YT videos being pulled due to copyright (which still upsets me, but its understandable) -- I hope the videos keep coming & look forward to casting a confident vote next election. GO RON!!!

  • This may seem impossible....

...but if we can rally 100,000 RP supporters to donate $100 each on November 5th (10 million unbacked federal reserve notes)....well this equals more than 10 million dollars worth of main stream media 'shock and awe'.

    Talk it up.

    Rally the troops.

    The constitution is worth it.

    Possible.

    Remember remember ;)

    Do it!

  • Ron Paul is the greatest presidential candidate in the history of the United States!

  • I would put him on the level of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, but not above them. Even he wouldnt claim that.

  • Hmm I am a bit confused,

Regulating the internet; does this include catching Pedofiles?

If knowone is regulating / watching over the internet then wont perverts get away with watching child porn and such?

    Or is that something else?
