  • KILLER! U'r great!

  • good stuff! thank you

  • No problem, thanks for the comment!!

  • I should get a capo..

  • @CaptainP00face The song is in Eb/D#. You can always tune your guitar down a half-step and play it just like the record. :)

  • @CaptainP00face I realized that too, they are amazing...

  • Thanks for this lesson. I'm trying to learn to play the guitar and this helps.

  • Glad it was useful, thanks for the comment!!!!

  • awsome lesson!

  • @fishyace1 ditto

  • Thanks!!!

  • cool thanks for the lesson!!!!!!

  • Thank you so much!!

Two questions though, when you are talking about the end verse1 progression you mention Dm at one point, was that supposed to be a D?

And I'm kinda confused on what your doing for the picking for that end progression part...

  • No problem. There is no Dm in the song, the end of Verse 1 should be D; Em; D; G6; G6. The picking is just holding the chord shape and then justr picking each string as you go down the chord and then back up again on the D and simliar on the Em but you will have to skip some strings to keep it in 4/4 timing.

  • Why aren't you mentioning the cappo :s?

  • The capo is on the 4th fret as detailed in the info tab beside the video plus you can also see it clearly in the video

  • Great set of videos! Thank you so much!!!

I've seen some people (including Edge himself in his solo version from the PopMart Tour) playing the D chord with the index finger covering the first three strings (like a bar chord) and the middle finger on the second string, instead of the usual D position. This allows you to keep the middle finger on that second string for the whole progression. Just thought I'd point that out as an alternative. Personally, I don't find it any easier though.

  • Thankyou. I personally don't like playing the D like that either but a lot a people do so thankyou for that tip I am sure that plenty of others will find it useful. Thanks.

  • Can You try to do the Video I used as a response?

  • The Paramore version of Sunday Bloody Sunday uses the same chord shapes (Bm D; G;) as the original you just need to tune your guitar down a half step (ie. Eb etc) use no capo and strum instead of pick the notes. The strumming is not to far different from the way we do it in the interlude, just a lot slower. Have a go and see what you think.

  • Thanx guitar professor, i learned it

  • Excellent, great work!!!

  • good stuff but for people who dont no how 2 reads cords very well it might have been easier 2 actually place the frets or something. but i got it thx!!!

  • Thanks for the comment, make sure you check out our cover of this song and let us know what you think!!!!!

  • could you make a video with a close up of your hands so its easier to see the frets and everything you are playing or at least where to put your fingers

  • Have a look at the chord and tba diagrams at the start of the lesson and it shows you what is happening

  • I assume you are talking about the chord diagrams. The circles mean open strings (no finger on the fret board for that string) and the crosses mean that you don't play that string at all.

  • im gona learn this :)

  • Please do, all it takes is a little practice, make sure you check out our cover of it and stay tunned for part 2, the interlude. If you would like the tab then just send me an email.

  • I had no idea this song was so easy to play. I am going to grab my guitar and play it now. :o)

  • Stay tunned for the interlude, but in the meantime check out our cover of this!!
