how do you find a quadratic equation if you're just given 1 point of the parabola, but you also know the axis of symmetry is 0, thus it's like a mirror, so i guess you know 2 points

The way you set up the chart to find the x and the y is kinda confusing . It won't always work out that well . For example mid line point is -1 if I do it your way it won't work out that evenly . What do I do ?!

quick tip: at 4:49 when he said that when the other side is going to be symmetric or whatever I have a better tip when you find one point like the -4,-3 its one square from the line of symmetry so if you go the opposite side and count over one starting on the line and go one right that's your other point and this works for all your point except for the line of symmetry. hope this cuts some of your time.

U dont have to do the data table if the a=1 all u do is find those 2 points plot it then go up 1 over 1 plot it then over 1 up 3 then over 1 up 5 and so on. Abd do the same for the other side

Even tho it helps to have other points but once you get your opposite point you get your perfect parabola without the extra work

What else you can do is plug the X from that equation to your first equation. That way you are getting the Y.
