hey Elie, where did you get those fight posters in the background? I'm interested in designing my office with fight posters of the greatest fights of all time and also Ring magazines. Do you have a place that you know where I could purchase them?
I am 63 years old and have really never followed boxing except for maybe just a few fights here and there and i would NEVER pay per view to watch a boxing match. Even now I dont watch boxing a lot...except for Pacquiao...I have watched him many years now and have paid hundreds of dollars of pay per view. I love watching him so much that i went to the philippines and married a filipina...Just kidding. I love my beautiful filipina wife.
IN ALL OF MANNY's FIGHTS HE BRINGS ACTION !! & EXCITEMENT !!, HE'S ADDING MILLIONS OF MORE FANS TO THE SPORT OF BOXING FROM AROUND THE WORLD. THIS GUY IS JUST AMAZING...
well no disrespect but mayweather is the reason why boxing was slowly fading because he showed too much" TOO MUCH" class in the sport, he fights like a boring heavyweight... mannys fight at featherweight was exciting and much more entertaining than may fighting hoya, hatton at that time. when mayw retired manny became the P4P and stepped up every challenge in the sport, he silenced the critic, beating bigger fighters, break records..this eras's ali, tyson , ray leonard and other greats...
Of course the boxing is back because of MANNY! Who doesn't wanna earn MILLIONS of DOLLARS plus pay per view plus endorsements anyway? Are you kidding me? I am from General Santos and there's gonna be more Manny in the future from that place. Mark my word!
i can only say me and my family are the biggest pacman and boxing fans recently after knowing about pacman. we go back and learn his past fights and look forward to his future fights. boxing is back and it will stay for a long time. for a minute, i thought mma was totally taking over and boxing was so in the low because i was a ufc fan, but now boxing is just as exciting.
after pacquaio first asian fighter to reach this stage...he bring all asian young into boxing...i see alot people today box and alot asian start boxing training, so yes it pacquaio.
This dude Marcus Harvey is such a fucking asshole. He sits in the parking lot smoking Black & Milds all day! Piece of shit had the nerve to tell me I had to pay him $5 for a round of mitt work! They are running a fucked up program out there in faggot ass West Hollywood.
hey idiot...stfu....clottey was clearly robbedfrom this fight...the judges gave the win for pac for a bigger money (pacvsfloyd)....watch the replay and yull see hus the real winner....filipinos are cocksukers....clotttey shud be the P4P king...he killed pacquiao and the judges robbed him...
@freakingmind12 You can't be fucking serious? Did you not hear Clottey's trainer screaming at the top of his lungs after the 9th, telling Clottey how he lost EVERY round! That was coming from Clottey's own trainer. You definitely have a "freakingmind"!
Boxing popularity is based on current fights that are interesting. its like if Mohammed Ali didn't fought the best in his Era , its not that big of a deal to mention his name in boxing but he did and beat them all. so Manny and PBF are the current "must see fights in boxing"
Well, I'm a UFC and boxing fan myself and I respectfully disagree. I watch UFC at a technical point of view. I enjoy ground game, stand up game, clinch, all of it. I, like many other UFC fans, prefer UFC over boxing not just because of knock-outs, but because its just a more complete form of fighting in my opinion.
from my opinion...yes pacquiao made boxing one hell of a name.....lets put it like this...it was manny who made me and my friends and co-worker watch boxing...well watch other sports too like football, ufc, but manny...man he is the shit. my last word he pac a punch like no other and gives me(the fan) one hell of a night with KOing his opponent like pretty BORing floyd hahahaha fuk u floyd...youre boring anyway fuking retire again....boxing dont need you.
Hohoho! Please stop the issue about Pac - Gayweather 'cause Gayweather is busy building his new franchise resto "THE KENDUCKY FLOYD CHICKEN" that's why he duck Pacquiao and made a lot of reasons LOL! ^_^V
Anyway, Gayweather said his chickens on his resto are blood tested olympic style so its yummy, delicious and safe 101% ROFL! >:)
For Pac-Clottey fight, of course its Pac all the way. Pacman will make a new record being the first fighter knocking Clottey out on 3/13/10. Pac by KO/TKO late rds.
Yes atleast for me, Pacquiao brought boxing back. I was big on Ali, Tyson and De La Hoya back in the day but when De la hoya started losing in the early 2000's I dropped out. Even in the early 2000's when Pacman was winning I still wasnt interested. Only when Pacman beat De La Hoya is when I thought "Holy shit, this guys is for reals!!!" Been a big fan ever since...Go Pacman!!!!
do not forget the mex that pac fought with. they shown what true fighters are. unlike some fighters who just run around the ring, cherry picks opponents, gives the sport bad paublicity etc.
I agree there hasn't been this much excitment around boxing since Roy Jones' golden days. People want to see good fights, and Pac has been delievering.
PAC is not a boxer, he is a WARRIOR GOD! Pac all day, everyday! Agree, BOXING is back definitely because of PAC! People in the USA wants to see a real fighter, and a humble, down to earth and GOD fearing fighter, not an asshole, cocky monkey, bitchy mouth like PUNK ASS FLOYD who talks alot, but does not show it in the ring! FUCK GAYWEATHER!
Boxing never left, the sport is in its prime right now because of multiple fighters like Manny and Floyd. People can hate on Floyd all the want, but he plays the great villain, sells PPV events, and can play the media & fans.
@DMXTVDallas dude....if floyd retired whocares....hes boring anyways....skills dont save boxing....its the excitement that they bring that saves boxing....
You are right in a way. It all depends on who you ask. I for myself enjoy good technical boxing skills. That is why UFC is popular now days because people just want to see fighters get knocked out. I don't. I like good strategy and game plan in boxing. Like a chess match.
Boxing is back, and yes MP helped it a lot. Bringing back the old guts and glory. 2010 is going to be great wit Viloria vs Tamara, Mosley vs Berto, Donaire vs Harris, Abraham vs Direll(sup 6), Carl Foch vs Kessler(sup 6), Vazquez vs Marquez 4, and of course MP vs PBF. Manny has been on top of the sport, not giving judges any way to decide the fights except vs Morales 1.
no need to hype pacman vs mayweather its already big, so mayweather no point of trash talk coz' that would sound like your Insecure or afraid of pacman.
Pacman brought back interest and excitement in boxing. Here's this small guy, humble, religious, singing, smiling.... people often underestimated him and he keeps on surprising and amazing people, making us think how much further can Pacman go?
i think Pacquiao really brought Boxing back... i think Pacquiao really is making Boxing alive right now.... cz before Pacquia came to the scene... Boxers didn't fight or trained like Pacquiao now they do... Boxing before Pacquiao was boring to watch.. So yup Pacquiao made made Boxing come back or hes keeping it alive...
YES, boxing is back because of MANNY PACQUIAO. Mike Tyson and Don King's ear biting, floyd juniors dodging real fighters, and Oscar De LA hoya fighting for money even though he is worn out. Manny PAcQuiao comes to fight with ring intelligence, The previously mentioned were just a few that are considered great to some moron nuthuggers but PAcQuiao brought the sport to what it really should be. Its not about big EGO's and steroids like mosley, roy jones, and cheating like margocheato. BOXINGISBACK
boxing has always been here manny just amde it more entertaining and gathered more attention since it ahs been thought as kind of boring lately(not much good heavyweight fighters around) but liek anything else it will have its ups and downs and now boxing is again on top of its name. manny, cotto, mosley,p williams, mayweather, hatton, the klitchskos, ward, haye and so many more upcoming fighters tryingt o make a name in the sport it'll be another exciting decade for boxing and its fans!
He definitely brought excitement back to the sport but now it's the promoters job to stay consistent in matching great fighters together if the sport ever wants to stay successful.

If price money slicing is the issue in the pacquiao-mayweather fight fruition, I suggest a 40-40-20 split. The 20 goes to the winner, how about that?
elie maybe you can promote this thought - to reach arum and mayweather...thanks, love your work.
dalinggaling 2 years ago 2
I hope so. BUT GUYS, LET ME NOT DISAPPOINT YOU. FLOYD IS NOT FIGHTING PACMAN.
Floyd fights to outpoint his opponents. Manny fights to stop his opponents and in process BEAT THEM UP.
Before Cotto fight, Floyd may have fought Pacquiao! But after Cotto got beat, haha
nobody will fight Manny except Shane who needs the money. But floyd has money, his PRIDE will keep
