  • Greenfield is a smallish city with a population that is growing a little too fast for my liking, but I feel safe here and enjoy my life here. As for the people, you will find all types everywhere you go. It cracks me up that people can judge an entire city based on a few experiences. Anyway, Greenfield is better than Indy and that is where I am from.

  • The video I posted is a song about my good friend Michael Carl Brown, who lived in Greenfield years ago and sadly passed away as a sophomore in H.S. due to a car crash. Love ya Bubba!

  • @randypaulmusic1 great song

  • Sorry for your loss. I am originally from Ft Wayne Indiana but moved to Greenfield in 2001/2002 & lived there for 8 years before having to move south. I really liked Greenfield & miss it very much. I hope to get back there one day as my best friend is still there & all my wonderful former co workers at walgreens too. Thanks for sharing. This bring back some memories even tho I only lived there for 8 yrs. God Bless.

  • I'm a fan of Greenfield. I've been a lot of places, and I always come back to old faithful!

  • very nice! But, to me greenfield is a city not a small town. you want small just go 16 miles east to knightstown or carthage where I live. LOL

  • I live here!!! yAYYYYY love it

  • I went to a school from grades K-6 here, and it was full of the snobbiest, bitchiest people I've ever met. :\ And it seems like more and more of those snooty people are popping up. It used to be so friendly. Don't know what happened.

  • I just moved to Greenfield about 4 months ago. The town itself is really nice. I feel safe here. I get fiber optic AT&T Uverse internet service in my apartment (important to me). I'm about 25 minutes from downtown Indianapolis, so you don't have to go far to find something to do or find a job. I have a lot of family in Richmond but no way I was going to move back there. Cost of living is more reasonable than other surrounding areas. My wife and I want to buy a house in the area.

  • I live here, i hate it.

  • Thanks for posting this. My grandfather grew up in Greenfield but it has been over 25 years since any of us went back to visit. Glad you included some of the old landmarks like the courthouse and James Whitcomb Riley's house - that's what I remember!

  • and cory lacy is a fag

  • @KingNero1000 he sure is

  • Dale, you forgot to include GCHS!! Put it in if you do another video.

  • im moving there march 30th with my bf.

  • Thanks for the Nice comments I did try to get places that some may remember if you grew up here many years ago.

  • ella347...at least you have a job! I had to give up my job 'coz down sizing made me work the job of two people, then I was put on 3nd shift, no way!!! Little opportunity, you got that right. Also I have another name for this place...beanfield!!!

  • Great video. Represents Greenfield well!

  • had to move two years ago.....never thought that I would miss Greenfield

  • i live in greenfield and it roks

  • Cool I'm from here

  • Ella I am sorry how people treat you This town use to be a small town and had very friendly people here I dont know what happened I grew up here from 1963 till now

  • @dalegarza - I'm 23 years old, and it makes a heck of a difference. In just 23 years i've noticed huge changes... Its kind of sad. I believe its because we are so close to Indianapolis. They are looking for room to expand. More people = more crime. I have a 3 year old and i dread him going to school in 10 years from now... If there even is a school 10 years from now by the way the economy is going unfortunately. Best wishes, Matt Greenfield Indiana

  • @Twiztidguy

Yes, being so close to Indy is bringing some problems in. It's so sad to me.

  • I live in Greenfield. I just moved here like a month and a half ago.

Hey all you people from Greenfield reading this - Be nicer to people who work at Wal-Mart! We're people too, you know. Dealing with you idiots for nine hours a day is almost unbearable.

  • i am sorry ppl treat you like crap too......i was born here but just moved back after 8 years in the army and it has changed...for the worse I fear but I am always nice to people because you never know when you might need them.

  • Thanks so much. I was born in greenfield in 53. went to riley school till 5th grade and moved to cincinnati. Seeing this video brings back so much. What happened to the old riley grade school?

  • it was on the video its now a nurcing home after 13 years of beeing closed

  • @cmentdriver I've never heard of it, so I'm guessing it was closed down years and years and years ago. The courthouse and the corners near by are my favorite places to be, including the pavilion. Especially on Riley Days at evening. So gorgeous there. :3

  • @Katriania Wow! Such negative comments on a subject that used to be something to be proud of. I was always proud to be from Greenfield. Great things happened in my growing up in Greenfield .So sad that many of you have had such bad times in such a good little town. Some day when or if you ever move to the big city you will know how good you had it in this little town. My old grade school was next door to the library and that was across the street from the fire dept. I did hear that it burned

  • Thanks for this video! I was raised in Greenfield. I love to visit family there. After living in crazy Los Angeles for years, Greenfield looks nice!

  • Dale, great video, reminds me what I really like about this place especially when I think I hate it so much these days. You captured all the places that meant something to those of us that have been around long enough to see the growth. I particularly liked the scenes from the old ford in the park. Used to love to drive across that as a kid. :)

  • skiped the part where all the resterants are... not really such a small town then

  • My band has a show september 26th at that theatre :)

  • Awesome Video Dale!!

Thanks for sharing it with us. I can't believe you even got Steel Ford Road !!!

    Greg Lopez

    Bradenton, FL

  • you forgot to go down 9 between McKenzie where the town goes to hell.

  • boo greenfield it boring

  • I saw my house :)

  • Brought back soo many memories! Love it!!
