  • Wonderful

  • 1 person is tone-deaf and likes hitler...he also missed the like button...

  • @JamesTR4 hahahaha

  • @JamesTR4 Thought I don't disagree with taking offense at someone's disliking of this video...I think Hitler liked Bach.

He was, afterall, a German composer that was revered by another of Hitler's favorites: Anton Bruckner.

  • @mahler151 True story...

  • @mahler151 So does practically every classical composer in Western music though. I can't think of a classical composer who didn't like Bach or at the least thought that his work was incredible.

  • Belle interprétation, mais je préfère la version pour orgue

  • does anyone know the name of the pianist?

  • @benek10

    Leslie Howard

  • 2:00 - 2:03 is so magnificent i wanna cry

  • I DID NOT KNOW THIS EXISTED! i loved this fugue when i first heard it in anvil studio....omg i want this!!! in sheets!!!! my enthusiasm spoils my reputation...BUT I DONT CARE...I WANT THIS!!!

  • @JamesTR4 Schirmer edition available from ye olde sheet moosic store in any town in the West cowboy ... .

  • @James TR4 It's also on "IMSLP". Its not the best quality scan, but its legible and free (public domain).

Is funny, i also met this fugue in anvil, in my very first computer.

  • @JamesTR4 Why would enthusiasm spoil anyone's reputation? Maybe if you're the worst bully in some highschool...

  • @dragmio oh my god, what are u a psychic?

  • @Marvinlikespiano : Bach was gifted but not god-like.

  • The best human ever at something can be legitimately described as godlike in ability

  • Its funny because Liszt wasn't even born when JSB was alive. So can anyone tell me how this works? Liszt's "remix" or?

  • @claus93Sethsen Liszt transcribed the original score from organ to piano

  • thank you (:

  • LH sets the audio standard for the performance of this Great Fugue. I "finished learning it" a few weeks ago and posted my video. If you see others who have posted a video (not audio), would you let me know? - Ed Brye

  • wonderful finale

  • Hard to listen despite solid preparation. The rhythm is scrambled. Instead of 4 sixteenth notes he plays 2 + 2, with the space between much smaller between 1and 2 than between 2 and 3, plus accents on 2nd and 4th 16-th note. Strange. Otherwise I am an admirer of LH achievement

  • Thank you for this video.

  • I love the Bach/Liszt transcriptions: if anyone could turn a piano into an organ it's Liszt! The Fantasia that precedes this fugue is divine too!

  • Bach and Liszt, man this is f***ing awesome. Gotta learn this wonderful fugue. Thanks Johann and Franz !
