Watch the 6-ball shot. He hit the cue ball above center and followed through. He should have shot the 7-ball the same way, rolling the cue ball to the first diamond. From there, he has an easy shot on the 8, and the cue ball comes off the foot rail for shape on the 9-ball in the same pocket. No decent player with money on the line would screw up like that.

There's no way the cue ball could have moved the 9 to the rail after that jump shot. It's still an awesome scene but, for me personally, it would have made it better if it was possible, because really, the other guy would have won had they not rearranged the scenes to try and make it look like the cue ball moved the 9.
there was no possible way for the cue and 9 to lock up like that from that position, too long in the game to fall for that, hollywood antics at work on that one ;)

Look pena69t, there is a sequal that is in pre production. It's titled, "Poker Junkies" . With the exception of Rod Steiger (he past away in 2004), everyone is returning for this one, eben Allison Eastwood. We are currently rasing money for it.

Just cut the damn ball - it's not a hard shot.
3 options that leave the cue ball in the same position - one diamond out from the side pocket, leaving a straight in shot to the corner:
1) shoot it with low-left and have the cue ball go two rails
2) Shoot it firm with a little top so the cue ball goes straight up table, and comes off the head rail
3) shoot it very low with a little inside english (kill shot). The 8 limps into the pocket, and the cue ball rolls slowly towards center table...

Look pena69t, there is a sequal that is in pre production. It's titled, "Poker Junkies" . With the exception of Rod Steiger (he past away in 2004), everyone is returning for this one, eben Allison Eastwood. We are currently rasing money for it.

I work for the company (Big Sky Productions) that made this movie. The sequal is now in pre production. And yes Christopher Walken is coming back for the sequal.
