weird that BC Rich claim that the ST was inspired by flash as it has exactly the same layout as the classic mocking birds of the late 70's. The paint job and the Floyd are newer, but the shape and controls are 'classic' :)

the stripes make it cheaper, dudes. that's a layer of ebony, holding the rest of the body to the thru neck. saves BC manufacturing cost of using whole wood, and saves the guitarist money when buying a great guitar. I personally think this is a $1000 guitar they're selling for $6-700. My ax is a Gibson SG Special that is not really stock in any way other than the body now, for reference.

This guitar is HOPELESS when it comes to stay in tune! Overall it's the greatest and best guitar i've ever owned, but i really need to fix that tuning problem. I love this guitar! The perfect weight to it so it doesn't feel cheap or anything. The many knobs and switches gives you an unique opportunity to get the sound you want. And it looks freaking KILLER! I'll never regret buying this axe!

@TiipX strange.. how long have you had it?? i had mine foe a few months now and its staying in near perfect tune, only because a guitar can never stay in perfect tune forever. hopefully you can get that guitar to stay in tune better.

i'll never regret buying mine aswell. mines a honeyburst and it will never leave my possession!

@TiipX I had the same guitar. What's the problem? Try to tune 4 5 6 strings and then push the floyd to the body and just tune a little first ones. It helped me))

They should make a red one with black trimmings. A more brighter red though, without the weird black splotches on it.

You can get one in that colour, which if you didn't know, is the way the original one was designed, the SL. They have one in stock at Guitar Asylum They still have the maple top look though (that you describe as black blotches lol) Personally I have the ST in this deeper red. Suits my metal band (wTomb) better. Ta.

Reason why you don't know what the FUCK you are talking about:

trim? binding

splotches? quilt maple top (very desirable design, pretty much just makes the guitar look fancier)

BC Rich did bright colors in the past. Maybe you should go buy a vintage one or get one custom made if you really want one that way.

i tried this guitar i like it but one of the knobs os too close to the strings and the frets are a bit too small but i absolutely love the neck and the way your hand fits in at the end of the neck

@StevenLewis96 not exactly, they dont make that exact model anymore. Slash's guitar didnt have a floyd rose... but it was neck-through like this

i love this guitar but im not a fan of gloss paint on the back of the neck :(

my les paul jr has a gloss neck and when ur hand gets real sweaty from playing a long time it just gets weird back there.

Great axe except for one nit-pick... some of the controls are right in the way of the trem arm when it's back out of the way. You king of have to reach underneath it.
