  • To everyone wondering: the music is Gymnopédie no.1 by Satie.

  • Does anyone know the name of this song?

  • It hurts to know that so many people forget and even ignore other people around them when problems come up to bite us in the ass and nobody's is ever around or tries to help it stop. so many people die in this world from suicide. :( R.I.P. for all who has died to suicide.

  • watching this, reflects on how my life looks :(

  • @13ilovejasonorange13 Just remember you are not alone, I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way. My husband committed suicide, I was sexually abused as a kid...things like that. You are not alone...

  • Where's Melody? Man, after seeing this I wanna murder Marcus in the worse possible way ):< Fucking prick bastard! And POOR KELLY!!

  • Marc Douglas Vogt / Facebook

  • @thund3rthighs

Did you ever figure out what the music was?

  • god will save us all

  • where's blonde girl, Melody :(

  • @rissieluvs87

no one of the biggest flinch scenes was in 127 hours if you see it u understand

  • why put her picture face down like that? it seems mean. Kelly ;_; ♥

  • minecraft

  • This movie has to be one of the saddest movie's i have ever seen. I cried alot during this. :( But it's a good movie over all.

  • I'm kinda glad that this was cut out from the movie. The movie had much more impact the way the director left it.

Excellent film. Really makes you think.

  • oh my god thats the song from the disappearance of haruhi suzumiya i love that song its so sad.

  • Yeah, definitely agree with their decision to delete this...

  • hey is it me or the video is broken?

  • Where's Melody?

  • Wow... Thanks for the scene. R.I.P Kelly ;(

  • haha i think i know the guy a 1:01 standing next to marcus!

  • her suicide will teach those not to be self absorbed in their fucked up lives , and it will teach them to care about other people.

  • Does anyone know the "piano song" ?

  • @English2Elvish

it's "Gymnopedie No.1" from Erik Satie

  • @iralunae You rock, thank you! :)

  • where is Melody?

  • this movie inspired me to not look how bad my life is and too look at other's life and notice if tey are hurting

  • I haven't seen the film, i've seen trailors .... but even without seeing this ... this scene made me cry really hard because i've seen enough to know how she died and the basic story line and its terrible and very close to home at the moment x

  • Its supposed to be a sad scene; but i was left unable to stop giggling at Sean's slightly darker beanie.

Its like, hey, he's wearing a beanie to a funeral, but at least he tried to get one with more somber colors!

  • Im So Sorry Kelly!

  • I'm glad they cut this out...as it romanticizes suicide and gives a peaceful end to the tragedy of the actual act of suicide..which was far from any kind of peace.

  • I have watched this movie a bunch of times before and always cried. But this time I thought I would make it through until I watched this scene. It reminds me of when my friend killed himself. They should have kept this in.

  • what a horrible life she had:( it's sad that there are many people who go trough with this every single day abuse, rape no friends or fam. to help nobody to talk to that would understand is like she no other way to end the horrible pain she had inside i guess the fisical pain is nothing to compare with the pain in your heart or soul. she just wanted to end it all.

  • i guess she wanted to kick the bucket because she was socially neglected in her school environment. for instance uneven steven got unwanted attention and where as others got wanted attention.

  • I totally would have hung out with her, Its heartbreaking to think shit like this happens.

  • there are around a couple of thousand people who die from suicide. and these reports don't enter the media spotlight. for some reason.

  • heartbreaking

  • What is the name of the music played

  • gymnopedie no.1

  • thank you soo much

    I'm been looking so hard

  • "Dont Forget Me" by CHLOE MOLDOVAN

  • r the two dudes lovers now???

  • I wish

  • can anyone tell me about part 9. I never saw the film. Without part 9, Im kinda of lost. Great film though

  • type it in the drop down box and click search and sum1nes playlist will show up, which is da 1st 1. i had trouble finding part 9 too.

  • search for "2:37 part 9" and you 'l get it from someone else

  • this scene is extremely sad and kind of tear jerking, but i think that the movie is better without it. i think the scene at the end wouldn't have made the movie end on the note that the filmmakers were hoping for.

  • Also what song is playing?

  • They shouldn't have cut this.

  • who died?

  • kelly

  • it will be cool if they didnt delete this scene from the movie but it made realize maybe all of the students that the movie was specific with didn't know her that much. she us to talk with marcus only remember when in the biggining she was playing the piano with him.. so he was the only person that he talk to even if it was fro 2 minutes...

  • yeah but she also asked (i can't remember his name off the top of my head-very bad with names) the boy who everyone makes fun of if he's okay after the guy who's gay beats him up in the bathroom. You hear her voice in some parts and catch a glance of her ocassionally, but you never truly see her being prominent until the end-which is the point.

  • yeah you should pay attention to others, but I mean, some of there problems were really big, you cant blame them for focusing on there own problems.

  • Where is Melody? I watched it twice and I can't see her anywhere...

  • I thought I saw her around 1:08 behind the gossipy friend of Sarah. Not sure though.

  • i think it's the one with the ponytail at 2:07 in the left corner

  • This is a near-miss. It begins wonderfully and I respect how they tapped into the fact that the scariest aspect of most suicides is that they come out of nowhere. But the incest thing is where the film lost me. I mean seriously: We have unrequited/suppressed homosexuality, incest sired pregnancy and a guy who can't hold his urine in all in the same school on the same day..plus someone who isn't any of those people commiting suicide. Did this school recruit students from "Jerry Springer"?

  • it may be a bit unrealistic, but still. you never know what kind of problems people have, no matter how normal their lives seem. you could go to any high school, and i'm sure you could find a couple of people who were having a hard time. i'm not saying that every teenager is suicidal, but you never know what kind of problems people might have.

  • That's the point - people are so wrapped up in their own problems they don't see anyone else's. Kelly could have been worse off than Melody or Luke and no one knew because they were too focused on themselves (as was the audience - it was the directors intention).

  • @HapaDoll Yea, it must have been as I dont really remember her much in the movie, everyone else had these huge obvious problems like being bullied for being gay, being gay and hating it (the Jock) getting raped and even steven pissing himself.I guess its to say serious problems arent always transparent.

  • @HapaDoll i felt terrible for kelly, if i played a character in that movie or had a similar problem i would have tried to be there for kelly or anyone no one deserves that.

I'm a guy but this scene brought me to tears pretty easily :'(

one question was this a true story? did she actually die to that ?

  • @reptilelover666 the director did have a friend kelly who killed herself, and to my knowledge no suicide note was left. so the film is a dramatisation of school life about suicide and people's problems, whether they share them or in this case, dont share them

  • @ReB161616 actually, if you have the movie, under the bonus feature he talks about how he received a video suicide 'letter' from her and he says it was "the most horrific thing I'd ever seen".

  • @HapaDoll I agree with you if you watch every once in a wile youll hear Kelly speeking out of the camra shot.

  • you never know every story of all the students in your school!would you know every problem you may have fear to go to school!we all can be happy about it that nobody from our school makes a suicide!

  • @splatterscribe In a school as big as there's looked I really don't think 2 gay guys, 1 rape victim and 1 disabled person is actually enough, statistically speaking,

  • awesome film; and i think it was well edited; the funernal scene, though touching, wasn't necessary.

  • anwsOme film !!

Does anybOdy knOw why they called thiS mOvie 2:37 ? cauz i watched it & i still dOnt get it :s

  • Because she dies at 2:37pm

  • cause she dies at 2:37 or something.

  • doesnt it say it was dedicated to someone who died at 2:37?

    -q.e.

  • Not sure I know the guy who wrote it had a friend who committed suicide but I'm not sure about the whole time thing.

  • yeah is says at the end of the film:

Dedicated to my dear friend Kelly

    Born february 7th-8:34pm

    Died September 3rd-2:37

  • please tell me what's the name of this film?

  • the film is called 2:37.

  • this movie was so great...

    and emotional..

  • where is Melody?

  • wow.... that was a good film...... very emotional to me.. i relte to some of it...

  • my favorite filme.. i cry every time i see it..

    the best movie..

and so real at the same time..

i would like to know what music is that.. i just love it !

  • I agree with xspuddx. I'd really like to know what music this is. I've watched de credits at the end of the movie, but the titles and artist from there weren't helping me.

  • The song is Gymnopedie # 1 by Erik Satie

He's one of my favourite composers, a really amazing song :)

A beautiful scene in my opinion. Even though I'm sort of glad they cut it out, it offered some clarity to things left undealt with, like the confrontation between Sean and Luke, but maybe it was better off leaving the audience questioning the fate of each character. All in all, a heartbreaking but excllent film, it's one of my favourites.

  • the credit song "Don't Forget Me" is inspired by gymnopedie. Erik Satie is one of my favourite composers too!

  • Such an awesome film, I loved it.

I'm kinda glad they deleted this scene though, I don't think it fits very well with the rest of the movie.

  • que estupenda pelicula

con un mensaje igual de especial

  • does sean always have to wear a beanie...
