  • great voices all

  • I love that song.... a lot!!!

It really brightens up my spirit... in a happy way!

  • Just wondering, if these girls are around. Let see a 58 Mercury I think 4 yrs old so that

    puts me about 18Yr

  • It's not Winehouse - believe us.

  • who DF is dis?

budded at best. Phil Spector gone wrong for the 'big sound'.

Maybe Shirells, but who tweaked it?

    /;-]

    The symphanoc seems over-

  • This can't be Winehouse because the words are sang with such clarity.

  • Need our old music back...with the voices of angels... not that c-rap and stuff they now call music....what a shame....a whole generation of folks who don't know or have not heard this music to give them somthing to actually compare music to....

  • This Doo Wop classic was actually released in 1960. And this is NOT the original version but a far inferior remake. See elsewhere for the sublime original.

  • @4thstooge this is the ahirlles just incase you didn't know. its a more remastered vwrsion, and if your sayong it is winehouse, well it isnt.

  • This is a travesty.

  • why in the hell would you so fundamentally misname this post. You're a total fool.

  • False advertising. Why the title Shirelles-1963 Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?

Amy Winehouse in a rare sober moment actually did a decent job with this classic song. correct your title. Please

  • Sir, where can I get this version of this great song by this great group?

    manuel.quinones@amedd.army.mil

  • There's something odd in Amy Winehouse's rendition of the Shirelles powerfully heart rendering song. I mean Amy sounds good but she doesn't seem to understand what this song was about; she sounds to me like she lacks the sincerity in her singing of this song.

  • This brings me back, like it was yesterday, to my teenage years in the late 50's early 60's. This is real music about love as it always was back then. Now there's so much noise and anger in lyrics and music. I feel sorry for young people growing up today with this excuse for music. How can it express the longings and confusion and maybe hurt a young person feels about his first love affair as Shirelles and the other groups of that era did?

  • hystori is s oo important love these sonngs

  • had to learn it by LOBO memories com rushing up to me now PEACE Bro. TONY NIEMIEC

  • It is stated in Wikipaedia that The Shirelles, & this great pop song "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" in particular, inspired most of the all-black girl pop groups of the early sixties such as The Supremes, The Chiffions, The Ronettes, Martha & The Vandellas etc. There were many others, but that is quite some legacy. I don't reckon any of them made a better pop song than WYSLMT!.

  • Phil Spectors greatest find , too bad he couldnt maintain his sanity , probably dope , caused his fall out , its taken so many , over my 55 yrs now , love this harmony ,

  • I love he version of Amy Winehouse but this is good too :)

  • Love this song! Should point out though: She Lies!!! When has a female wanted reassurance ONLY ONCE AND NEVER ASK AGAIN? lol

  • This song is amazing... vocals r sick

  • Amy A**hole.... she does NOT have a clue about this music - it was 25 yrs before her time!!!

  • @Supershammy100 this song is 40 years before my time, yet I know alot about this type of music, its all i knew growing up, and to this day all I love. Just because Amy wasn't around then doesnt mean she didnt do the song justice, if anything she may have introduced younger fans to this type of music, even more so.

Of course the original is the best, but in my opinion Amy's was also good and very moving.

    so get over it!

  • オールディーズ?の中でも一番すきかも。キャロルキングよりすきかも。

    この時代に生まれたかった。いいなあ、ビートルズとかおいかけてみたかったなあ、、。いい時代だよ。

  • Carole King had the best version

  • @Newground990 ~ You're 'Joking' of course?

Carole King's version is very good but can't touch The Shirelles Original...

As For Amy's version....Amy just sings lyrics with absolutely no idea in the World what those lyrics mean!!

  • It's a beautiful version...I love the lilt in her voice

  • This song was performed by James Durbin tonight on American Idol. I had to hear the original version..very nice!

  • @hotdog1960 not the original. this is winehouse.

  • This was recorded by The Shirelles after Shirley left and features Doris (Coley) Kenner-Jackson (who lead the group on "Dedicated To The One I Love") on lead. She performed this on a Dick Clark special in a diner-like setting. For the original, with Shirley leading, look for John1948ElevenB.

  • CUTE, CUTE GIRLS!

I Can Tell The Differences Too!

    Who Cares Anyhow.

  • travis7310 is correct. This is the Shirelles, but it is a re-recording. If you want to hear the original, type in "The Shirelles - will u still love me tomorrow" in the search block, or click on it over on the right side under "suggestions". And yes, it is from 1961. This one here is close to the original, but slight differences. Congrats on noticing it, travis7319

  • This is actually The Shirelles singing this. This is a version they re-recorded in the late '70s or early '80s for K-Tel. Also, the song is originally from 1961, not 1963, as it says in the title.

  • So beautiful....love waking up in the morning to this!!

  • to jeffdcarruthers PART 2 It was not a she I believe it was a he

  • Ahh, this is of police acadamy

  • this is not the original I could tell in a moment it's good but doesn't have the same magic

  • It's the Shirelles. Newer version/re sang this song. Voices change as you get older.

  • @MultiShades you stupid moronic bitch who the fuck are you and where do you come from? black people in the USA are to a great degree what assholes like you made them micegenation, slave ships and slavery and post civil war segregation think about it you suprcilious cunt

  • @elamite66 why don't you tell her how your really feel?

  • @jeffdcarruthers If you mean MultiShades the answer is because I wanted to maintian a minimum of decorum

  • This must be an alternate (inferior) take or else it's not the Shirelles.

  • @1royalpalm I just Shazamed the sound of this vid using my iPhone and Shazam reports that it is the Shirelles.

  • @HS22181 yeah it's the Shirelles but it's not the original recording probably done years later

  • Pretty sure this isn't the Shirelles or Amy Winehouse

  • FAKE WTF is this!!! This is a cover from a fale group!! And it SUCKS!!

  • Es gibt keine bessere Zeitreise in die 60er Jahre, als mit diesem Hit. Ich schwör.

  • JUST PERFECT !!!

    THANX FOR SHARING !!!

    BEST REGARDS !!!

  • Absolutely Great!!!

  • yes, another golden oldie......

  • I just downloaded this mp3 at instantmp3s..com

  • Sounds like a different singer than I've usually heard

  • @Tiptox I think Shirley left the group in 1975, Doris is probably the one who sings this song.

  • @1anabal This is not Doris, who died in 2000. This is amy winehouse.

  • @ladylittles Sorry, but this is not Amy.

  • Comment removed

  • @1anabal not amy but not shirley alston either. amy has no violins in the background . sounds like someone singing to a kareoke background. some of it isn't on key

  • Ich finds einfach nur 1te Klasse=))) super

  • this song reminds me of many happy times as a 16 year old, life was so easy then

  • @kitkatjeff and so beautiful

  • One and only....

  • Where did this music go?

  • me tooo!

  • I'm born in 1970 but I can't help to feel my heart beat better with these songs.

    My fav one this song.

  • Masterpiece!!!

  • YES.....

  • don't forget carol king, somg writer -1970

  • what version is this?

  • This is garbage!!!! Sounds like a girl group auditioning for American Idol, who DON'T make it to Hollywood!

  • That's Doris Jackson on lead. Sounds like one of the re-recorded versions for K-Tel (or K-Tel-type) quickie compilations from the 1980's.

  • lol..take it from me..they are in tune!

  • @CarolinaHartz not always throughout this recording

  • Sure it ain't Shirley singing here. She must have left when they rereorded it. Not a patch on the original, but then rerecordings never are as good as the originals

  • An alternate take sounds like...I know it's not the one that was played on the radio. I don't know about this...

  • yea.. this is weird.. they are very out of tune... what version is this?

  • Yes, verrrrrrrry out of tune. Terrible. This isnt the original recording, and I dont think that's Shirley singing lead.

  • shirley is on the right

  • Yick - terrible vocalization

  • I don't think I see SHirley Owens in those pictures.

  • I first heard this in April 1961

  • I've been looking for this version for years and years. I would love any more information anyone has. Thanks!

  • Police Academy credits it as The Shirelles.

  • I hv this mp3 version... :) You want?

  • This brings me so many memories when I was sixteen, Good music,,,,,,,,

  • STILL GOOD

  • always good!!!

  • The shirelles are fantastic... they have this special sound. Great, absolutely great!

  • Hey just be honest, stop the whos who ,and just own up to the fact these great sixtys coloured girls groups(all of them) were just fantastic and will never be again.

  • Ok who mentioned amy piss head?

Just how to ruin someones day and good music.

  • She covered the song. Amy is the closest thing to good music which has a retro feel to it nowadays, so dont knock her until u listen to her......

  • no one sings it like shirley owens,

    and this is not shirley

  • It is a different lead singer than the one who sang the Shirelles hit version.

  • I think this is Amy Winehouse's version.

  • It's not.

  • I've been looking for the one that was played in the movie POLICE ACADEMY, and this is it. It's the one that plays the beginning where Copeland and Blankes are lured into the Blue Oyster bar with those gay Tango dancers. Who all remembers that?

  • @ lawofficers

    haha yes,that was funny part:)

  • Yes, it was.

  • This is nto the Shirelles.

  • The Shirelles version (or at least the original ) came out in 1960-61 timeframe.

  • I'm confused.. This isn't The Shirelles version (or at least not the original) and it doesn't sound like Amy Winehouse.. Is this the Shirelles doing a remake?

  • No it's not the Shirelles original that's for sure. plus they didn't come out with this until 1964.

  • Probably another "take" of the original. Very slightly different from the sound of the original, but darned close. As I said below, timeless in its beauty.

  • The original were released by The Shirelles late 1960, as "Tomorrow", and the re-released in 1961 as "Will You Love Me Tomorrow"!

  • The original was released by The Shirelles some in 1960 or 61 not sure, but I remember it was the first No. 1 hit by a black female group and stayed No. 1 at the charts for many weeks.

  • This song is timeless in its beauty.

  • It is precisely Benenati !

  • amazinggggg!

  • yeah me too, its great <3

  • but amys version too ♥

  • i love this song!

  • Nice video. I love this song. I have tried to sing this, and it wasn't good. haha.
