seeing that vega makes me miss my first car 78 monza 4 speed 2.5 liter it surprised a lot of people with stock V8s when they couldn't pull away from that little 4 banger.
Actually I wouldn't necesarly want any of them back, the fun and challenge is building something new. When they are done they kind of become " just a car" I need to put out a part II to this, the 76 Dodge truck is now done and I've built an 84 El Camino for the wife and I'm currently doing a 500 Cadillac into an 83 El Camino as time permits.
Keep in mind the cars cover a period of over 30 years and many of them have been sold over the years. Yes I was a mechanic (work behind a desk now) and ran my own garage for several years. I still have the shop and tools. All the cars were initially purchased with MAJOR problems many actually were bought from junk yards. Doing all the work myself and trading labor and left over parts keep a lot of the costs down.
Nice collection of cars...Good to see someone into something different than the run of the mill muscle cars everyone restores. Ive always had a soft spot for a Ford Galaxy like the one that's one of your next projects...I think that is going to be a fun build.
At 13 I learned how to drive in a Pinto. Man, that poor car!.My best friend growing up had a 302 Mustang II that had a orange ext.& orange/white int. with T-tops. The car always reminded me of an ice cream bar! A lot of good times...
nice job man, but let me tell you smth. your taste is quite different than other people, for example most of people prefer 1st generation mustang but u prefer 2nd, and unusual cars. moreover why dont you prefer hardtop cars instead of 2 doors sedans? Is there any reason behind this choice?
i love the diverse collection. i seen your vega in the magazines. always wanted a mini camino like you vega. i had a 73 gt wagon with a 215 buick,4 sp and monza rear. i want another vega to keep and hand down to my kids. any help?
