ANd i think zune pass is better, only $14.99 month for unlimited downloads. with itunes i would have spent well over $150 on music so far.

I have a ZHD and it's f'n awesome. And with the upcoming updates, it's only going to get better. I can't stand Itunes. I've had an Ipod before and it wasn't the best experience. I've been using Zune since 2008. I had a Zune 30 then I upgraded to the beautiful Zune HD. And IMO, it's so worth it. And I think that the intergration of the 360 & the Zune + the more than likely flash support will = one swift kick to Apple's nuts. You can't be the "top dog" forever. Sooner or later your time will pass.

you know, if Microsoft wanted to beat Apple at the mp3 player game they would have done it when Apple dropped the ipod in 01. But they laughed at them. Now nearly a decade later MS drops the zune hd only after the market had matured and so it is way too fucking easy bring out such a device now. It is like painting by numbers. MS will battle Coby and GPX for the mp3 market. Apple is in a league all their own.Like it or hate it the prof is in apple's bank account.ka-ching!!!!!

HD means hybrid Digital folks, still has lower rez video playback on its OWN device. So with Zune I get radio I don't use, usable in the US only, and 30 second mandatory commercials. How about a browser more advanced than IE6 Mobile? Check its acid test rates? Too funny....

I disagree that people will wonder about the itunes unless they are not actual tech people but i think a lot of people are up to date in the tech these days then they use to be. I think the BIGGEST!!!!! and only bad thing as of now is the app store!

Zune pass is great, $14.99/month, for unlimited music downloads.

I have just over 150 songs from zune pass.

If i was using itunes, I would have spent $150 or more for that music

in my opinion. the app store is the last thing i would care about on a mp3 player. i think the zune and the ipod should be equally rated, for a couple of reasons. first of all. i really dont care about an app store. if i want to play games. thats what my xbox is for. when i am out and about i wont stare at a screen and play games anyway. second. i hate itunes with all my heart. (sorry apple) bnut on my computer it just doesnt run right. and third i like the subscription survice for the zune. =]

I know I'm going to get some negative feedback on this, but I think that Microsoft really does need to release a phone based off the Zune to compete with the iPhone. And the need to put some serious time into the Zune software (focused on the Marketplace) to make it more competitive. Also, if they want to steal Apple customers, they need to find a way to let them either transfer their iTunes music to Zune, or let them get the music again for free off of the Zune Marketplace.

Why do people keep saying they need an App store? It's call Live... it exist already they simply need a UI for easy access on the device, but other wise the back end already exist. Zune is a good device but Microsoft needs to get a good web browser, apps, video games on it, maybe have it sync with the XBOX 360 and just a whole bunch of things. Now a days people are into apps and programs.

Yes that's true, iTunes is not compatible with Zune BUT ... if you open up Zune 3.0 it automatically transfers the files from iTunes to Zune, so there's no work for the comsumer to do, just open the software, hit sync, and bam, all of your iTunes songs on your Zune. (I own a iPod Touch and Zune 80, so I know first hand). AND Zune doesn't have any of this $1.29 for 85% of their songs bullcrap.
