I don't think Halko's voice suits this song very much. She sounds really strained and nasally, especially near the end. I'm an Aya fan, but I agree she did terrible at Gekisou. But if you watch Unnamed World live, or the recording of Lost my Music you can see she CAN sing well and it's not all studio.

Well I don't know about Halko Momoi not hitting those high notes. She can sing squeaky songs pretty well, like her songs "Love Slave" and "Kujibiki Unbalance"

she can get a high pitch note, but it doesn't sound very steady.

though i am critical of Hirano, listen to her raise her voice and hit high notes smoothly, and hold them.

Hirano has a more powerful voice but compared to Momoi, she's raw and untrained. She could develop into a very good singer, but she's purely a product of good post production right now.

Of course, it's a little unfair to compare these two right now, seeing as how Momoi has many more years of experience under her belt...

mini-critical review:

Hirano-has a nice tone, but she her singing can be really nasal. its her energy that makes me like some of her music, but i still think she needs more training. she has vocal power that i would like to hear more control of.

Halko-clearly high notes are not her thing, but she has a steady singing voice and a lot of experience and good range. rock songs seems very out of her element though.

Halko Momoi has a much greater range of tone than Aya Hirano. Hirano and Momoi was in the same concert stage when I went to their life performances, and Hirano sounded horrible while Momoi sounded great. Too many fanboys tried to defend Hirano by saying that it was the stage's fault, but the other singers sang great in the same stage.

Actually, they don't edit her voice. Live concerts sound different because of how the sound is bouncing off a large space, through mic, with Hirano often bouncing around without being able to rest and such.

Hirano has wonderful range, and she's naturally a soprano. Momoi doesn't seem to have the same strength, but perhaps that's just how she's singing the song for dramatic effect? (Although, it's a bit meh. :/)
