  • Lovely soul inspiring bagpipes sound. Great post. Thank you.

  • Love this mix. Absolutely UPLIFTING! My heart smiles at the sound of these bagpipes! Thanks so much.

  • I'm really bad at showing emotions, and I managed to make it nearly all the way through my grandpa's funeral without crying, until at the military ceremony, when they played Amazing Grace on the bagpipes. My grandpa always enjoyed bagpipe music, and I do too. It's absolutely beautiful, and is one of the most emotionally expressive forms of music.

  • 9 people don't appreciate beautiful music. Its very sad indeed.

  • @fade2black001 yeah i agree with you there

  • When I play this I feel like my ancestors are standing beside me with their heads held high and full of pride because I carry on their legacy.

  • Beautiful!!!! I have heard songs here I have never heard before.

Question: can bagpipes be played without the drone? Some other cuts seems to have no drone tone.

  • @Gizmologist09 Check out a practice chanter, it's the instrument you would start with to learn the pipes. Sounds like playing the pipes with no bag or drone.

  • I'm Irish and I have to say the scottish flag is so much nicer! Sorry celts but it's true

  • SCOTTLAND FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • class sound

  • In answer to @95jjs how many Scots died in the field of battle with English, Irish and Welsh. Know your history. The Scots have een part of Britain since 1701, Act of Union. Live and let live. Just think of all the dead. History does not count the dead. Let us live together as people and give up this me and you problem (I wont swear not the place or time)

  • how can eight people hate this?

  • RagDoll...thank you SOOOO much for putting this awesome music/picture compilation together! My husband Larry LOVES this! He's a Scott.. His grandfather, was named after his great great great grandfather, William Wallace and YES they are in fact Brave Hearted and tempers NOT to be messed with. My Larry allowed God to help him control this! He wears both the Ferguson and Lyall Klan's Tartans.

  • Comment removed

  • @keepercoach Dude, I don't really care alright? I'm born in Sweden and would not care if I were born in Scotland. Freedom is what can unite people regardless of origin and you should not use this video to fuck your country ego up the ass. Scotland is awesome for sure but don't let it swell your head.

  • This is just awwww inspireing

  • What is the castle on 05:00 ?

  • bagpipes awesome sound sends a shiver down my spine

  • I love this type of music. Whenever I hear the bagpipes, I close my eyes and get lost in the sound. Sometimes I wish I could hear a lot more of the bagpipes here in Australia. Scotland really does have better music. :D

  • @HellAngelsBells It's why William Wallace, priest-turned-general, a man who stood 6-foot-6 and swung about a claymore as tall as he was and who could divorce a knight in full armor from his lower half at the waist in a single blow, was a scotsman. Our badass music.

  • good speak nacho

  • i've been trying to find words to describe how much i like the sound of bagpipes.

    but i can't :)

    greetings from Belgium

  • You Can Say That Again Lad!!!! OORAH!!!

  • It doesn't really matter who invented what first.

What matters is that we Scots turned it into something beautiful.

  • ken

  • Im a pure Highlander clansmen Robertson, and it still sents a chill down my spine to hear the blood pipes even though they become a bit commercial.

  • @Grouter12 every time a hear the bag pipes i get the exact same feeling, its just unexplainable

  • this is so beautiful

  • The 5 people who disliked this should be charged at by an army of blue-faced Scotsmen yelling "FREEDOM" at the top of their lungs.

  • this music is for the birds. Birds are dragon's eggs before they are laid, like Scotland the BRAVE. Slainte'

  • I love the bagpipe music!

    it's so calm and beautiful!

i've got only 3 words to say:

    I Love It!!!

  • @Mrdede1998 Actually the bagpipes date back to the Middle East originally.

  • @Mrdede1998 i'm guessing ur not irish coz all my irish m8s really don't care that we nicked their stuff as long as we unite 2 beat up the english *wink* =]

    x

  • @Mrdede1998 Tartan was from China, Whiskey was from China, Bagpipes were from Greece, Haggis was from England. I'm not one to care, we made something great out of it.

  • @Mrdede1998 Okay, no need for language...I come from both Ireland and Scotland so calm your stuff kid. It's okay, let them take credit. Besides it's not a big deal to us anyway.

  • @Mrdede1998 LMFAO... I'm guessing you're 12, and thus your comment makes a lot of sense.

  • @Mrdede1998 untrue

  • @Mrdede1998 you know bagpipes where invented by the people in europe, on the mainland? ;)

there is even a flemisch bagpipe :D and it whas there before it reached you're coast.

  • @SeoDriver i can tell you right now that the celts, scot, irish were playin the pipes way before they were played in europe. they used to use the pipes to lead them into battle. back in the day of the battles between england and scotlond. and it probs dates back a hell of a lot longer than that

  • @SeoDriver its actually more likely that they were invented in egypt or persia. and progressed from there. it used to be a twin reed instrument once apon a time.

  • my heart lost in scotland .....

  • Best regards from Romania. I almost started crying halfway through song/compilation. Very touching music.

  • Going Home..that one gives me the chills....

  • you changed your online name im sure it was something different

  • When I first got into kayaking, I went on a lake. The weather was overcast, cool, and breezy. The wind was really beating me up trying to stay on course. Then from one of the houses on the shore I heard this music. I just stopped and listened. I still get the same sensation listening to it now. I was empowered by it!

  • I respect bagpipe players, as I tried myself, and it is VERY difficult

  • @GhawalysRage yes indeed im learning how to play at the moment, very hard so much to take in

  • Wales, Ireland, Scotland, stop your arguing over whose better. We all share one great title. CELTIC!

  • @chainsawz1 love ya

  • @chainsawz1

you ar so right man we are all CELTICS

  • You know what? I feel sorry, and we all should, for the folks around who don't know of or are unable to enjoy or appreciate this entire culture and its heritage, its history, and its music especially. This has to be one of the richest and proudest cultures to have ever walked the earth, and I'm proud to have it in my blood.

  • @FredrickVonWinkle457 very well said man

  • а есть ремих на этот трэк

  • Thank you for this amazing music ..! You have made me very happy in a dark time.

    cheers!

  • Scotland's got the best music hands down. the sound of the pipes in the wee hours of the morning is what you wake up for. The thoughts of the highlands as you drive to work is what you are moved for. The taste of Scotland flows through your mind as you work into the wee hours of the night. When you are born with any bit of Scottish blood, you stay that way for the rest of your life. so lets all say it,

    FFFFFRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm so proud to be scottish. (:

  • If you feel it, then it is yours

  • I think the national anthem is better of with the bagpipes playing by themselves. SCOTTISH TILL I DIE!!!

  • these tunes are simply addressing the celti bits deep inside the heart of man born north of the alps.

though i am german it´s absolutely my type of music.

  • @m31337u same here! even though I'm from Sweden, this is what kind of music that makes you really inspired. but the old traditional music here in Sweden are a little bit same as the Scottish :)

  • @m31337u Given the universal appeal of this music, it must be concluded then that all the peoples of the world must have Celti bits in them, too (lol). On a technical note, I must say that the abrupt ending to segments in this compilation is annoying.

  • @m31337u Given the universal appeal for this music, it must be concluded that all the people around the world must have Celtic bits in them, too (lol).
