There is a difference between "turning" in the park and being able to rip like this guy. I've skied for a long time and never seen a ten year old quite this good. When you get to be around 21 or 22 and your knees can't take park skiing you'll appreciate how difficult it is to alpine ski at a level this kid can.

@07yz85--- Obviously a comment from a complete novice. Any fool can ski straight down over a bump and do a backflip, or twist, or whatever, especially if the landing area is soft, deep snow. If the landing area is hard and icy, then Darwin's theory will soon eliminate such fools. To ski technically like the kid in this video requires REAL skill. Please submit a video of YOUR skiing for comparison.
@JGMagoo - First off anyone can go down hills.... Not everyone can go off 50 foot jumps and do double cork 1080's and rodeo's. It takes more skill to spin slower or faster and stay balanced on a rail that you can barely fit your hand around.

I think this video is more about the new generation of skiing kids who DO go backwards, who DO jump moguls, who DO spin off 360s and who DON'T fit in the "I ski my exact 12,4m radius carving turns on the slopes just as my instructor has told me"-scheme. The kid in this video seems to have fun and likes experimenting. That's what skiing is about.

@07yz85--- Obviously a comment from a complete novice. Any fool can ski straight down over a bump and do a backflip, or twist, or whatever, especially if the landing area is soft, deep snow. If the landing area is hard and icy, then Darwin's theory will soon eliminate such fools. To ski technically like the kid in this video requires REAL skill. Please submit a video of YOUR skiing for comparison.

@JGMagoo - First off anyone can go down hills.... Not everyone can go off 50 foot jumps and do double cork 1080's and rodeo's. It takes more skill to spin slower or faster and stay balanced on a rail that you can barely fit your hand around.

Not even close.. 20 years ago my 8 year old neighbour did backflip with a 360. Two years later he was doing double flips.
This kid has average skill. Most 10y olds here ski like that or better :P

Very cool! I'm 18, and this guy could ski all over me. Trying to ride on one ski looks fun, but I have trouble using my right ski to turn right, and my left ski to turn left.

Don't listen to any of the mean comments, you ski great, and I like the instructional part, ...will show it to my 8 yr old who skiis pretty well but could you some of the tips you offer! And she might actually listen to another kid!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he SUCKS for being ten!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahaha. he does whirley birds for like an hour. wow. I have been skiing since I was three, been in a race team for 6 years and was soooooooooooooo much better than him wen i was ten. I say that when you send the vid wen he gets first on the podium twenty times, and makes it to the U.S. ski team, he just might be the best ten year-old skiier.

I think this video is more about the new generation of skiing kids who DO go backwards, who DO jump moguls, who DO spin off 360s and who DON'T fit in the "I ski my exact 12,4m radius carving turns on the slopes just as my instructor has told me"-scheme. The kid in this video seems to have fun and likes experimenting. That's what skiing is about.

@janinfr Yeah. But it also depends on what makes you have fun. I myself love the feeling of high speed skiing with well-tuned turns! But thats exactly it: whatever you have fun doing on the slope you should do, so long as it does not endanger you or fellow skiers. :)

but now im doin switch superman frontflips on powder for me without powder there is no skiin for me

looks good,
some tips try to get a little more relax in your knees when sking bumbs this to absorb the bumbs better,
and when you're carving you look like a dancing banana, try to get your muscels in your upper body tight,
then it looks better
keep up skiing!
