@GrigoriMalikim It's gonna be a LOOOONG TIME before they even make a Metal Gear movie. Right now, super hero/comic book movies are the IT thing in Hollywood. When they finally produce good decent faithful video game movies (like they are with the comic book films) I'm sure we'll see an excellent Metal Gear movie.

I also hope the trend of little to no character developement and disjointed plots that plod along w/o even the vail of an attempt to connect in favor of fronted up scene after scene of "WTF did that just happen here for" gimmicky 3D is long over by then too. They 'are' mostly faithful with comic stories, but purposly re-envision (warp) game stories to show they, not game writers, tell a better tale...and they do not, not even close imo.

@floeticdeath I never even thought about that, but you're right; MGS would make a kick-ass anime. If you want the big movie title licensing pay day, you give up some creative control, usually more control than was agreed to. And if ya don't like it, they park project & sit on the rights they now own...ask CAPCOM. But w/anime, Hideo retains 100% creative control or at least hand picks who he wants-if he so chooses; definitely worth watching.

pricture.., you are KILLING me man! The Metal Gear series is the greatest franchise in video game history. If you don't believe that, you will. You have really missed out. But now, your in for a treat. There are a lot of things in the 4th game that only a true Metal Gear fan can appreciate. You have to become the "Snake" and EARN your right to play the final chapter! Okay, maybe that's a little over dramatic. Just play the games and let me know how it goes.

Holy shit, I had no idea MGS was this epic, lol. I would play all the games too, in order, but sadly my PS3 cant play PS2 games :(. And theres lots of PSP games, which would take awhile to beat too. So yeah, thats why I asked about the database, but hears what I know about the story so far; Snake is one of 2 clones from "Boss/Big Boss" who was part of an elite squad of some sort. "Liqued", the other clone, lead the team after Snake left, and he managed to get in control of peoples minds, etc...
