what album is this on ? He was gifted ... Seems the talent that needs to be heard , leaves us early. plus he's a south-paw,that likes wiskey, his friends f'ing & fightin,
This song eerily reminds me of my dear brother who died in prison in '06 after a crazy reaction to his wife cheating on him. He ended his life too soon...and the bitch that put him there lives on...
Truly one of Phil's best melodies/lyrics ever. I find it a bit of a shame that he got caught up in that cock rock metal crap towards the end, when he once wrote masterpieces like this.
I agree 100%. It's very hard to fault anything Lizzy did between 75 & 79. After that there were moments of brilliance but not as consistent. I really think Brian Robertson & Gary Moore were so vital to Phil and I think that was one of the problems when they were gone by 1980.
I love this song and video, but are they playing out of tune? It sounds like they're playing in a different key than on the album. Actually, I kind of like this version better.
Absolutely the best song ever written and ever sung. I don't think there will ever be another Phil Lynott... he was a one in a million man.. one of the few who broke all boundaries...
Ofcourse not mate, I've had the same thoughts. I'd love to get back into the guitar so I could play songs like this. Thin Lizzy are the greatest rock band ever!
You're a good man jimymac1 spreading the word of Lizzy is a beautiful thing. They were the greatest band ever if you ask me and Phil Lynott a musical genius.

Wow music when it actually played on emotions
other than casual sex violence and materialist BS. Always a favorite....
I think I'll fall to pieces if I don't find something else to do.
