  • I had the great pleasure to see the spoonful in 2007 and they were tops! joe butler and steve boone continue with the great sound even without sabastian.

  • WTF - WITF IS THIS ?

  • yeah right no john or zal go away

  • Passable version, but the absence of John Sebastian's masterfully smooth voice is glaring. Still, kudos to Joe Butler, he always seemed like a really nice guy.

  • Not the same without John and Zal and the auto harp

  • My goodness I was 11 and a lass in boarding school in Kent when this first came out and it needed Sebastion's smooth, gentle voice. By the way, I'm 57 this year so you do the math LOL

  • I can appreciate the guys carrying on , but they should get a sebastian soundalike. Joe does an okay job, but it doesnt sound like the record. Even less when Joe's gotta be out front and not on drums.

  • @ShockDoc marc sebastian was in the group when they did a tour of england a long time ago

  • Joe Butler does a wonderful job with this song that put John Sebastian and Company on the map. Joe (father of actress Yancy Butler), Steve Boone, and Jerry Yester (who replaced Zal Yanovsky), along with drummer Mike Arturi and guitarist Phil Smith perform in the current setup of the Spoonful. They're still good, but it just hasn't been the same since John tours solo instead of with the group and since Zal passed away.

  • So when are these guys going to come over and play in little old England? We bought all their records too!

  • @discdon Take them and keep them.
