I'm sorry, but it seems there have been some misunderstandings. The great artist we know as Sunao Yoshida did not actually create this anime. He created the novels. He was suddenly taken away by a lung blockade at the age of 34. In 2005 the anime Trinity Blood aired, directed by Tomohiro Hirata, as tribute to his works.

Trinity Blood is kind of a guilty pleasure for me. I like some of the concepts, like the Vatican being a major political and military force, but the costume design is just plain silly at times, and the plot is a little lacking, IMO. I like this ending though. It's also a bit of a guilty pleasure.
