There is another instrument that you've probably heard of that is heard in the United States called the dulcimer. I really love santoor music though, especially that of Shivkumar Sharma.
great technique, but don't play too fast, as if you are rushing thru this beautiful piece, and play with more feeling, don't play too hard. variation is important in long piece like this. good job
I really feel something from this music . . . obviously its because I'm Chinese. I think of epic martial arts combats and oriental legends listening to this.

Actually, the Yang Qin originates from the Santur. The Yang Qin came about through the Silkroad and the Sea through the port of Guangzhou.
