  • Ray Will Always Be The Second Brightest Star In The Sky. Always there with Evengiline. Both watching Tiana and Naveen from the sky.

  • This has to be the 1# saddest scene in disney histroy,

  • A sad BIG LIPPED ALLIGATOR MOMENT

  • Awww Ray we miss ya! :') <3

  • Welcome back Disney :)

  • ... Wait, a full grown human stepped on him. Why wasn't he smooshed to a pulp?

  • I cried so hard and unashamedly when I saw this part, and when the second star appeared I cried even harder. I was all " *sobsobsobsob& AHHH RAY GO TO *sniff* BE WITH EVANGILINE! *Sobsob* IT"S SO BEAUTIFUL! WALTDISNEYWOULDBESOPROUD"

  • SO I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT OF "THE SECOND STAR ON THE RIGHT"! I thought I was crazy!

  • lol

  • I AM NOT CRYING. MAYBE. (no, I'm definitely crying.)

  • So Evangeline became "the second star to the right". That's neat, but I still get tears when I see this scene...

  • Oh Disney, you realy know how to make people cry. This truly is a Disney classic

  • Disney, PLEASE do not make a crappy sequel to this, PLEASE! Sequels to classic films - particularly Disney films - never work out (Think Mulan II, Aladdin: The Return of Jafar, Cinderella II: Dreams Come True, and Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. Yikes!)

  • @PassTheMarmalade1957 Well, they're not ALL bad. Cinderella 3: A Twist in Time and The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning were pretty decent.

  • Wahhhhh ;_;...The Second Star to right DX OMG I listened to the song while watching this I was bawling and talking to my boyfriend. He didn't know why I was crying, but he just said it'd be okay and hugged me. Why can't love be as strong as that? Willing to love what others don't see exist...that's...that's TRUE LOVE WAHHHHHH! TT_TT!!!! Ray we love you so much! You got to be right next to your true love forever ;-;..

  • I was SO close to crying when I saw this. Had to hold it together since I was in public.

  • wait dose this mean that ray is the neverland star?!?!?!?!?!

  • @TimeWaster001 he was tring to protect tiana and he was sqished to death b the shadowman

  • Anyone else thinkin' "Second Star To The Right?"

  • @WhiteLioness100 yep

I think those pair of stars are in a lot of disney movies

I really don't see why they are always in there...

  • Yo I cried at that scene...

  • Comment removed

  • Oh man Ray's death didn't make me cry but the pure joy on their faces when they see Ray as a star always has me.

  • aww this scene makes me Cry just saw the movie a few days ago it was amazing

  • 2:25 Meanwhile, in science:

    "What just happened?"

  • @charmedgal888 you know science cannot explain everything. (is that the point you were trying to prove though?)

  • @JuanDVene Um...I wasn't trying to prove anything...it was a joke. I don't even like science.

  • I'm not too saddened.

I could be sad but I'm at least heart-warmed by my bittersweet interpretation:

Note that Ray's last sight of the living world was up to his star. In death, Ray is (re)united with Angeline. He died happy with a smile. (0:50) He knew he would be with her, his love, once again. Now they exist as stars to shining down on everyone, giving hope and inspiration.

  • I just shed tears over a firefly.

    Damn you Disney...damn you.

  • RAY y u no live?ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

  • This is so cute - but gotta say.... Evangeline is the second star to the right. Ray appears on the LEFT. I'm bawling here, but yeah.... Ray is on the Left....

scuse me while I bawl over the cuteness some more.

  • i remember watching this movie for the first time at the cinema being like "OH MY GOD!!! RAY'S THE SECOND STAR TO THE RIGHT FROM PETER PAN!!! RAY IS NEVERLAND!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • MY FAVORITE PART! Well not when Ray died but when he was able to stay by Evangeline's side forever! <3

  • I'm not crying I'm sweating through my eyes.... I can honestly say I haven't seen this one yet but I looked it up and have seen a few scenes with Ray and I can't explain it I have become very attached to him so yeah i'm crying ridiculously and unexplainably

  • Will not cry... will not cry... TT.TT

  • This is so bittersweet. He died but was joined with his true love. I wanna turn into a star when I die.

  • This is one of the few scenes where tears, manly or not, are acceptable for all.

  • 7 people are posessed by vodoo

  • Do you remember wanting to run through the plains of Africa with Simba?

Swing through the jungle with Tarzan?

Go to the enchanted castle with Belle?

Go to the ball with Cinderella?

Ride a magic carpet with Aladdin?

    Save China with Mulan?

Shrink to toy size to play with Buzz and Woody?

Turn into mer-people and go under the sea with Ariel?

If you do or want Disney to come back, repost this in many videos to spread the message and thumbs up to keep this comment at the top.

  • God damn that stupid lightening bug.

Makes me sob like a little girl every time.

  • this is the first disney movie in a while that actually showed a "death scene"

  • @smashgasm699 actually, Tarzan was pretty graphic about how Clayton died by hanging.

  • 7 people are sucked into the otherside with the Shadow Man

  • Does this mean that Evangeline is the second star to the right?

  • Comment removed

  • yep disney movies are good and sad,but lots of peaples die,

  • I cry

  • medic!

  • I just watched this movie for the first time today. When they had the funeral for Ray, I thought that voodoo lady would be at the end and bring him back to life because it's a Disney movie. But nope, it was even better. He ended up with his love, Evangeline :) I cried like a baby at this scene not because it's sad, but because I was happy for him.

This is probably one of the best Disney films ever ^_^

  • man i thought this movie was gonna be girly but i watched it when i was bored and it was one of the best disney films i seen it reminded me of the old disney and when i saw Ray becomeing a star i realized his wish as well as the others also came true even in death...i almost cried when i saw that that was one of the most beautiful moments in this movie that i saw thumbs up if u agree

  • i cried at this scene

  • My fiance and I were watching this just assuming Ray was going to end up being ok...I mean...it's Disney. Then the second star appears and she started absolutely bawling. Took a lot of effort on my part not to join her. Shocking and beautiful.

  • my mom was crying so hard while i was trying to fight it. when i saw the new star next to Evangeline, i was so close! D'X it was so sad!!!

  • Comment removed

  • When ray floats into the darkness, i had to bite my lip to prevent crying... when the clouds parted to show that ray was finally with evangeline, i can't help but tear with sadness and happiness at ray's seemingly naive belief coming true RIP ray you're 1 awesome dude

  • R.I.P Raymond.

  • 2:30 second star to the right and straight on til morning! (hope i got that right xD)

  • @TheNightcloudHATER

you can fly, you can fly you can flyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!

hell yeah It reminds a lot!!!

  • 6 people obviously didnt watch from 2:11 to the end

  • i cried so hard at this part

  • if only fairytales do exist! but i cried alot when i saw this scene :'(

  • dude, its the second star to the right! neverland here I come!

  • Isnt 'Neverland' the second star to the right? So that makes Ray the first star to the right! am i right? lol. : )

  • 3:34-3:35 hahaha his face looks so funny

  • i cry always with the scene =(

  • Im happy shadow man died!!! :( It was so sad.

  • I'll never squish another bug again :'(

  • This scene is all blurry! Oh wait, that's just tears in my eyes.

Turns out Timon from the lion king was right: "They're fireflies. Fireflies that got stuck on that big bluish black thing"

  • @Saxkrig

"Second star to the right, and straight on 'til morning!"

  • @Teufeldolch NEVERLAND!!!!!

  • And Evangeline is the first star. Ray is the...he's the....Second Star to the Right *tears well*

  • @Saxkrig

Ah, could really be a hint on the lion king

  • @Saxkrig "Oh Gee! I always thought they were balls of gas burning from millions of miles away!"

  • Waaaaaaah!

  • this should lead to Grave of the Fireflies >_<

  • When I would read comments on how this movie isn't the next Disney classic, all I have to do is remeber scenes like this. I mean come on! Ray had the deepest love of any disney couple ever. He knew down to his soul that Evagiline was his tru love despite everyone telling him that she was only a star. His love was so deep that it transended death itself so that he can be with his love forever. How does that not match up with the Disney greats?! I can not get over how much I love this movie! XD

  • @basktbalG ... Agreed, Ray is so full of life and pure of heart. He is a true romantic (even in the face of cyncism) and anyone with that capacity to love is really something special. He is one of my all-time favorite Disney characters ... I love the angel Al from Angels in the Outfield too :-)

  • There was not a dry eye in the theatre when this scene was shown. It was sad. Even for me as a 26 year old, my godfather passed away the year this film came out and Ray reminded me of my godfather. A good hearted man with a childlike spirit. R.I.P. Tio.

  • @7mandoblu i very rarely cry because of something sad but here i actually teared up.

  • @SuperHD101 That's what I was thinking too. It brings up some interesting thoughts and I really like their choice to do it. :>

  • @SuperHD101 wow, you just made that whole video just 1,000 times sadder! lol but yea, that's a good point...maybe!

  • @TimeWaster001

Dr. Facilier, the main villain, steps on Ray (aka 'firefly dude') when Ray tried to stop him.

  • that was the most beautiful part of the movie. :')

  • Stupid Disney, making me fell EMOTIONS. ;_;

  • )':

  • Oh man, the first time I saw this, I got so choked up when Ray died, but I really lost it when that star appeared in the sky. Such a beautiful way to end the life of this great character. He got to be with Evangeline after all! :')

  • when ray died I cried, and if a kid said "why is uncl ray in that boat and sleeping" i would and died from sadness, <3 raymond

  • Shadow man done laid po' Ray low! Smh:'(

  • Disney as a way to make us cry don't they. I cried when Mufasa died in lion king although I was eight years old at time. I got teary during Ray's funeral.

  • Man i cried when i saw this!!!!!

  • its the alligator that makes me sad and love this part.

    when he plays the trumpet..

  • I bawled my eyes out at this part when I saw this in theaters. Why does someone always have to die in Disney movies? D: The only time I smiled was when the friend I was with wailed "WHY COULDN'T THEY HAVE KILLED HIM WHEN HE WAS STEELE IN BALTO?!" (Because Jim Cummings, the voice actor for Ray, was also the voice actor for Steele in the movie Balto.) A few people were able to laugh at that.

  • I felt like cheering to

    Disney is BACK!!!!!

Though the death itself was sad

  • @1998sara same here! i love disney too. whats ur favorite movie?

  • @Disneyliz14 The Hunchback of Notre Dame& the Lion King

  • I just can't seem to figure out how Ray's body were so... "compact" after getting chrushed by a shoe.

  • that was the saddest thing ive saw lately in a movie like this...i just started crying...i will miss him..

  • ray is so awsome soo gay that he died

  • i haven't even seen this movie but its freaking making me cry like a baby

  • poor little thingT_T I almost cried at that time

  • I remember the first time I saw this movie, I just started tearing up when that second star appeared. Even now it still makes me tear up.

  • Well, *sniffle* at least he died happy. :') *cries*

  • i know i may be corny but im not even kidding, i cry every time that star shows up in the sky.... it gives me a joyful feeling and its just to heartwarming :)

  • aww rayy =[ i almost cried at this part

  • It kind of looks like they're holding hands, doesn't it? :)

  • most beautiful and saddest scene in a disney movie EVER

  • Oh little Ray...you are with your beloved Evangeline now.

I love this little guy, I cried so much when he died, and then even more when he got to join his true love up among the stars.

  • play it from the beginning, mute it, and play come sail away from Styx. you will see how this song fits in

  • @roockface That was really nice!

  • Evangeline is also the name of a woman in Louisiana who waited for her love to return to her by an oak tree near the bayou but he never did and she died there waiting for him. I think that's right.

  • I think its sadder than a normal death when someone dies with a smile

  • my mind as i saw this scene-

:'( its ok though, mama odie will bring him back, no she will, she wont! hes dead?! really!? WHAT THE HELL DISNEY! *bawls worse than when mufasa died in the lion king!*

  • @Ramsgate15 i thought the same thing!!!

  • I just sobbed my eyes out... T-T

  • I seriously cried like a little kid at this scene. And then when you see him in the sky, I started bawling.

  • @DougiexxPoynter dont worry i did too. Im a guy thats in his junior year in high school. haha

  • D':

  • 3 people are heartless assholes

    R.I.P

    Ray Ray

  • @TheKimico16 It's Dr Facilier and his shadow demons

  • @TheKimico16

Now 6 people are heartless assholes

    R.I.P

    Ray.

  • I actually thought Ray's death was more unnecessary than it was tragic. Unlike Bambi, Old Yeller, or Lion King, I didn't feel like Ray's death played a huge impact on the movie. He didn't know Tiana or Naveen very long; he was only around through the 2nd half of the movie; it didn't impact Tiana or Naveen's goals or Facilier's tactics; nothing changed except he's now with Evangeline. What was the point?! Just because it's a Disney movie doesn't mean you HAVE to kill off a main character.

  • @365ral

I think the point was how he had faith - faith in Naveen, so he believed when Tiana had doubt, faith in his love for Evangeline (when everyone else was thing "did he smoke something?" ) and his "resurrection" to being with her forever was proof of that faith. And i think him stealing the hyako (sorry if the spelling is wrong) from Facilier and giving it to Tiana was pretty major . Further, he was easily as likeable (if not moreso) than the other characters, I was sorry he died

  • @365ral I have to say that with this death, it is somewhat realistic. He's a bug fighting a human. I think the odds are against him, he was gonna get squished very easily.

  • @RoronoaZorolover Yeah, that is true, Ray would've easily gotten squished anyway, but the way they presented it, the way the Dr. F was verrry slooowly reaching his foot over him, and how slooowly Ray died even after Dr. F squished him, and all my previous reasons in my last post, it didn't strike me as a heartwrenching death like Old Yeller, Bambi's mom, or Mufasa. For me, it was more like "Hey, it's a Disney movie; we HAVE to kill off a main character somehow!"

  • @365ral Y THE COOKIE CRISP DID THEY PICK RAY THEN?!?!

  • @IndianaJonesfans09 Because audiences loved him the most. He was the sweetest and most innocent, so naturally, it would've broken more hearts if HE was killed off.

  • this scene makes me tear up

  • Comment removed

  • DUDE. Ray become the second star on the left from Peter Pan! WTFBBQSAUCE.

  • Its so sad but its so cool that he finally got to be with evangeline.

  • i have achieved erection.

  • Death is not a topic one expects to see come up in a Disney movie. But nonetheless, this scene had the intended effect-it moved you to tears and made you all the happier to see the hero's come out on top in the end.

  • @dkupke Really, didn't you see bambi or the Lion king?

Or any princess movie really, where they've all lost a parent or two...

  • Just watched it and this part made me cry. Great title btw RAY'S FUNERAL attention spoilers -.-

But I one of those people that believe after a certain time you should already know what happened and if you haven't you shouldn't have looked up the videos.

  • hey you know the second star to the right in Peter pan....are they talking about evangeline...

also a little side fact ...the evening star" is the planet venus..which coincidently is named for the roman goddess of Love

  • I'm officially in tears now!!! Farewell Ray.

  • I blame Jim Cummings for being such a good voice actor, he put so much emotion into Ray's final moments I was sitting in the back of the cinema trying to stop myself from crying

    *whines* DAMMIT JIM! *weeps*

  • Well, I just cried like a little girl.

  • Omg this part never fails to make me shed a tear... <X( Welcome back, Disney... the heart is coming back and this scene/movie is living proof... More of these types of movies plz lol

R.I.P, Ray... You were awesome and are now with your Evangaline...

*cries and claps and gives standing ovation for Ray*

  • Goddammit, you dun' make me cry again...

  • i cried. it was so sad. ray is my favorite character! but it is soooo cute how he goes up in the sky with evangeline :) awww!

  • The funeral was so beautiful, and sad at the same time. Only disney, let me tell you. Only disney could do this.

  • His bulging eyes were watching god.

  • wen i saw this part, i started bawlin.... n in my head i was thinkin "omg im crying over a firefly" disney is amazing that way lol

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NOT THE FIREFLY!!!!! WHYYYYYYYYY~~~~~

this is so sad.......... but they basically became the second star to the right from peter pan.

  • OMG THEY KILLED THE COMIC RELIFE OMG OMG WAT OTHER MOVIE DOES THAT IM A GUY AND I STILL CRY AFTER THAT

  • I always cry during this scene. Especially the part where he's with Evangeline...

  • it so sweet that Ray got to be with Evanglene forever :)

  • I never stop crying at this scene, but the most proud moment we all saw was Ray finally get to be with the one he loves.

  • this part makes me cry everytime. when you see the two stars up in the sky.

  • It's his big puppy dog eyes that get me right before he dies :'[

  • When Ray died I was so sad, I actually cried and I never cry during movies.

Ugh I was through at that point. Ray was adorable. He is def. one of my favorite Disney characters...ever.

  • ...:[

  • hey!!...that looks like the two stars from peter pan!

  • That was half the joke of all this. Because Ray and Evangeline became the 'second star to the right' that appeared in Peter Pan, but Timon from Lion King was also right, as he had stated that stars are 'fireflies stuck up in the big bluish black thing'.

I don't know if chronologically makes sense, but it's still super cute. xD

  • I was so upset when I saw this on the cinema. I mean- Dinsey cannot kill good-guys! Can they?

  • @IMBFire92 Well, they killed Simba's dad Mufasa...they killed Ariel's mom...they killed Cinderella's real parents...the list can go on xD lol

  • thi is sooooooooooo sad icry every time i watch it i luvvvv ray somuch his so cute expectlly when he say i'll like that to at 0:50

  • WTF!!!! why does disney keep doing that type of shit. im crying so hard. and the more i try to fight it! the faster i cry X(.

  • ive been looking for this clip, thanks a butt ton for uploading this i needed it :3

  • I always cry when Ray dies. He gave them all a new perspective in their lives. :) Then he becomes the star to Neverland with Evangeline. So in a way, Ray did have a happy ending (:

    I miss these movies. :')

  • its so sad i was crying :(
